Yeah I laughed at my mom when she was spanking me once too and told her it didn't hurt. She also stopped.
But she just waited until my dad got home and told him and he wore my arse out until it bled.
Never made that mistake again.

Beat senseless.
My dad's mom beat the frick out of me when I talked back to her herself I learned pretty quick on that one. She was a mean old cuss from Odessa TX.

In my teenage years I made the mistake of calling my Mom a bitch once. She backhanded me so hard I had to check to make sure I had teeth left. That took care of that.

The only time I made that mistake my dad heard me and then beat me with a belt. My legs bleed all over the kitchen.

I don't remember. I mean, I remember talking back and I remember being wheeled out of the hospital, but everything between those is a complete blank. I wish I could remember. It's just unsettling, losing a month of your life.

My mom would grab whatever was within reach(fly swat, coat hanger, hair brush, spatula, wooden spoon, etc) and it was instantly magnetized to the backs of our legs. She was ruthless. All the "I'm sorry"'s and "I love you Mama"'s in the world couldn't stop that onslaught

My dad got involved. Which always turned out poorly for me, so I learned not to ever do it pretty fast. Learned it was better to back talk my dad as he didn't get so upset with me back talking him as long as mom was respected.
Once though, when I was 18 and thought I was a bad arse, I challenged my dad in the garage when we got home from football practice. I was younger, bigger, stronger. Called him a coward and told his arse not to walk away from me.
I have no idea why I did. Dad was a 20 year green beret that had seen combat in 3 different countries. I literally lasted less than 10 seconds. In that 10 seconds, the aquarium got shattered, my face busted open, and I had ceased breathing due to some sort of choke that was being applied. Dead serious, I have no idea what happened but I wanted mercy before I even got started.
Never, ever again.

I laughed one time when she was trying to beat my arse with a wet flip-flop. A fricking flip-flop.
Unlikes the rest of you fortunate souls, my mother decided to grab a belt with especially large studs (or whatever. a western belt) and she beat me silly.

My Dad never had to use it on me (my brother was another story), but he had a razor strap.

Pop always used his fraternity paddle. I got it maybe 4-5 times by the age of 7 and I quickly figured out to not do anything that might garner such a punishment.

When I was a kid if I had my Dad may have cracked my skull with his Ring.
