The correct answer is whatever line you or your SO are uncomfortable crossing.

For some couples, it's one of them ogling the opposite gender for a second too long. For others, all's fair game as long as both parties are aware of the adult shenanigans.

Like Klarvin said, it's basically all relative.

For sure, but it's interesting to see where some people draw the line. Like you said: Some couples think a glance is cheating while others are completely comfortable as long as the other is out of the state or otherwise. I just wanted to see what others thought on it.

Where I come down on it is just keep communication open.

Soon as couples start keeping secrets about their interactions with others, that's just asking for trouble, IMO

Emotional cheating is just as bad as physically cheating on someone. If you're leaving your SO to go hang out with someone of the opposite sex and you are both attracted to each other, then that's emotional cheating to me.

I don't think I'd say it was 'just as bad' but it is serious cheating, and I would NOT want my SO pining after another man. I think in some ways that would be worse than a drunken kiss or sex. You're talking about a sober emotional attachment that they are only supposed to have with you. That is the kind of thing that says they do not love you anymore, and I would be seriously considering a divorce. Kids complicate that though.

I've been hanging with a girl who drunkenly told me last weekend that she wants a threesome with me, her, and another girl. I can do whatever to the other girl. Would that be cheating?

I don't think so.

Pretty much. I generally go with the if you have to ask if it's ok then it's probably not.

This is actually my position whenever someone asks me if they crossed the line -- ''how would you feel if your SO did it?''

I think it's a good barometer.

If she is getting DP'd by 2 black guys while an asian guy pees in her mouth, with her arms cut using a shard of glass from our broken wedding picture, and the blood from said cuts used to write "dirty slut" all over her body.

Anything less than that isn't cheating really. Just harmless fun
