After reading the posts about Memphis cops, I am never visiting that city. I attract psycho cops like dead bodies lure flies. Not taking any chances.

I went 2 weekends ago for a wedding and was being followed around by a homeless man who was insisting on me giving him money.

There were 2 cop cars at the gas station I ws at, and neither of them said anything. The guy was just following me everywhere.

Not watching the video, but I just had a training class on excited delirium and how to handle it (due to the increasing cases of bath salt incidents). What is being described in the OP sounds like someone that could be in the beginning stages of ED or cocaine psychosis. The preferred metthod? Swarming with multiple officers - including a Taser - then cuffing and getting EMS treatment ASAP. The use of officers body weights to restrain the subject is the important concept.

The only FACT quoted in the OP - not subjective statements by possibly anti-cop bystanders - is the medical report showing no blows to the head. This directly contradicts the bystanders' statements. Sadly, the guy was most likely past the point of saving before cops even showed up.

I'm sure if tox reports come back saying this guy was on salts, plus the apparent lack of head trauma, all the cop bashes will apologize to the police officers.

(Ok, just watched the video. What the heavyset lady described is practically a textbook ED encounter - the delusional, paranoid statements, the erratic movements. The audio also sounds much like an ED subject. One criticism I have for the cops if this was an ED encounter is the use of impact weapons. ED subjects have no or little pain sensation rendering pain compliance techniques ineffective)

I wasn't kidding about my bath salts comment back on page 2.

And if you think the medical examiner is going to lie to cover up a bunch of evil, mean cops killing a helpless, innocent guy..............

The main problem is the police dept and justice system won't hold cops accountable in these situations.

If cops were to be fired or even put in jail for unnecessary force then this shite would stop. Instead they get paid leave during an "investigation" and nothing ever happens to them.

Just like criminals with gun free zones, if cops know there won't be retaliation then it will only get worse

Fired for what? Restraining a guy that was most likely going to die anyway?

The only fault I can see from the meager description given is if the department hadn't trained these guys not to use impact/pain compliance to control an ED subject.

Hate to tell you, this isn't an out of bounds call in basketball. Just because the cops touched him last doesn't mean they caused this guy's death.

Like all the bootlickers apologized for a woman cop shooting a kid with a Wii controller in his hand when he answered the door?

Sure.

Yeah. None of them die from chest compression. Except for the ones that do.

What makes you say the guy was going to "die anyway"?

Wait, what?

Did you not read the article or watch the video?

The man was killed due to blows to the head from a police baton, you moron.

And how was he likely going to die anyway? Where are you gathering all of this dumbass false information?

The medical examination isn't complete either. Not sure how you don't finish a medical examination, but that's another deal.

I guess the guy died from a heart attack from being jumped by the police/thugs then?

Do we have a coroner's report or are the police saying that's what the coroner's report said?

Eta: nvm. It's just the police saying that.
