Weird...I've been to Walmart in several states and have no complaints.
I guess I could attempt to find the worst employee each location has and maybe I would think like you? The only employee interaction I usually have is at the register.

As I stated earlier, it's not a function of "shitty" employees, it's the company's apparent desire to not have enough employees working during a shift. Ask people that have worked for Walmart for years and they will tell you this is true.
And you are naive to think that the stores in and around the corporate offices are run the same as those elsewhere. I don't know what kind of work you do, but it's pretty typical for locations near their company HQ to be shining examples of clean, well run stores. Why? Because the corporate types don't like to get to far away from their base, and these are the stores they visit.

i don't work for walmart and i live in central ar not in nwa. i work for my family who owns a small business and i still like walmart but i don't like obama.

Why would I attempt to find the worst employee when I go in? When I've gone in I shop and then check out. But that doesn't mean I don't see the shitty, cheap products they carry when I walk through the aisles. Or the generally unkempt store or the one lane open to accommodate shoppers at high volume shopping times. And the often broken/shutdown self-check out lanes.
Some of you really do come off as Arky fans trying to adamantly defend the $$$ behind your school.

I own a small business, actually compete with Walmart, but I don't hate them. They're just a corporate giant and easy to take potshots at.

Because they are under a microscope in NW Arkansas. We have the model stores up here that they test new stuff on before they do it nation wide. They are some of the cleanest, nicest stores you'll find. When they bring suppliers in they bring them to these stores and they have to be the best. The produce we get here is amazing and is great. I still shop at the local farmers market just because I like to give some of my money to them as well.
We also have this badass "Walmart Market" that is the nicest one in America because its .5 miles from most of the high up execs. Not a nieghborhood market, but just a market. It's badass and has rock pillars and shite

No, I just find it hilarious the double standard most of you use and how many people actually believe everything written about certain corporations. It's amusing honestly.
"Let's not shop at Walmart, but let's buy everything on Amazon"
Also, Tyson and the Reynolds pump more money into our athletic department than the Walton's.

Target has better merchandise. Wal-Mart nowadays looks like a big Family Dollar. Now Sam's Club still cool, especially with the free food samples

This. Walmart needs to check out their operations in Kentucky. Their stores are pigsties (no pun intended) and customer service is absent.

My beef with Walmart* is primarily how penny pinching they are with employees (except corporate, of course.)
No one gets 40 hours, never are they staffed enough. Yes, it would cost them more to have 'full time' employees, but it would pay off for them in the long run by having happier, healthier employees.
And if you are going to have 20 check out lines, why are only 5 open at a time? Why the expense of putting those lines in if you never intend to have 20 employees on the clock checking at one time?
Too much cheap shite made in China, also. They sometimes talk a good game by saying they are going to 'buy American', but I sure have trouble finding any of it on the shelves.

This I will never understand. I got stuck having to run into Walmart a few days before Christmas a couple of years ago. Had to be one of their busier days of the year and I counted 7 registers not open, while every checkout line was at least 5 or 6 customers deep. Made no sense.

I think most of this talk is buying food and household cleaners and stuff like that. Though I did read once that a lot of their electronics are specifically made for Walmart in US factories, and the Sony's, LG, and Vizios just slap their name on it.

Pretty much this. Target makes Walmart look like a slum... both the stores and the quality of people shopping at the stores.
