First off: you were in the wrong for not following the policy, so just own it.
That being said, your school's inequitable enforcement of the policy is on them, and that is a legitimate complaint that you could actually bring up to administration if you so chose. One of the primary reasons to go with school uniforms is to AVOID inequitable enforcement of sometimes arbitrary and vague dress code policies (statistics show inequity in gender, socioeconomic status, and body type with regards to enforcement of dress code policies). If they're not enforcing the policy consistently, that undermines the entire reason for the policy's existence. Therefore, they're wasting money (either taxpayer or parent) on uniforms for no reason.

Bumping my own thread to show what growing up does to a person. I was such a whiny dumbass.
ETA: I did graduate from Bama this past May and am now a Pelicans fan. (still root for the Spurs when they’re on TV)
