this is about campuses.

i find downtown Charleston to be kind of sketchy, and the student housing situation is not good.

lol COC has like one nice courtyard area. it is a tiny campus too.

furman is like 2800 undergrad students, and most of them are rich kids from up north. personally i would separate out private and public universities in this conversation.

Is their main building also named after a guy who lynched black people?

the buildings probably look most similar to Clemson's among the SEC schools. i don't think MSU has any of the greek column buildings. and both have a drillfield from the military days.

Your buildings will look more like Auburn because you hired an Auburn architect.

it wasn't an Auburn architect. wsa an architecture firm that did college buildings and Auburn was one of their clients.

tillman and samford are only two buildings that look somewhat alike at the two. Auburn has more greek column type architecture. not quite as pretentious as bama's but it not similar to Clemson.

i like the old part of NC State's campus, lot of trees and brick buildings. App State's is nice too. UNC is a little overrated.

Elon is the best private school campus.

my favorite campus in Tenn is East Tenn State Uni in the tri cities area.

LOL I know right! It was a unanimous vote yesterday that USM Gulf Park/Long Beach had the best campus!

It is hard to vote for any campus that has Coleman, UA Law School, Beard-Eaves or Haley Center. Samford is by far the best looking Campus and Jacksonville St is a close second.

You guys get so uptight about anything that has Alabama listed at the top, or above Auburn.

It's not like most of the major universities in other states in other conferences making the list either.

the thing i don't like about both is how the college town area is not adjacent to campus.

The Cotton District is directly off campus....

I always thought his potato salad farts in the broadcast booth must be rather pungent.

Probably why Gary's nostrils are always flared.

No, just telling you the truth. AUs campus use to be one of the best, but they took down too many old Oaks and replaced them with crepe myrtles. UA looks nice because of the Old Oaks, they block the quilt look from the different buildings. Again, the buildings I mentioned before, should disqualify both.

Toured UofA with daughter and grandson two Fridays ago. We were impressed with what they have to offer students. Grand said if he went he could drive down to Pa Pas' and go Turkey hunting or fishing. So there is that.

I think any university has many things to offer prospective students.

I've been to all the major North Carolina campuses. Not sure I buy Wake Forest over UNC, Duke, and Asheville (though Asheville might more about the surrounding scenery than the campus itself. Mountain universities have a definitely leg up on that point.)
