As one who is connected to a university nursing program I can say two things. It takes an incredible amount of studying and retention. A student studying to be a BS Rn must retain whatever she is taught throughout her studies in nursing. Not all degrees are like that (mine wasn't). Therefore, let her study and leave her alone when she needs to study, don't badger her. And when she has time to relax, make it worth her while - take her to the movies (for example) and let her let her mind relax. I have seen a lot of students that graduated top in their HS fail miserably in nursing. It is difficult.

That and do what you can to facilitate her study time. Nursing can be brutal on the memorization end from what I understand. Let her tell you all about what she's learning. That's the best you can do.

I've been through this before and this is good advice.
My wife's (then GF) last year was rough as well. On the weekends, I'd invite her to my place to study and instead of me going out to get wasted while she is at home I'd provide her a nice, clean and quiet place to study. No roommates, parent BS or friends to interfere. I'd cook / grill food and either help her study or just be there and watch TV while she studies.
Having a controlled environment to study in and not worrying about your man being out having fun with drunk slots seemed to make her happy.
Nothing wrong with doing a little blow on Friday night while your girl studies in your mid twenties.

I mean yea I got a little stern with her about the worrying and explained to her all the reasons it wasn't good but it's a delicate balance, especially with a woman
