it's bigger than that. For as much as we've seen from a police perspective, we also have 12-13 year old kids bringing loaded guns into schools with some consistency and I've seen on more than one occasion a kid buck up to a police officer with the "you touch me I'll have your job" mentality.
There's a complete lack of respect for any kind of authority and for human life on a lot of levels. Not saying some of these cops are in the right, but it's a situation that's been building on both sides of the fence.
This is the truth.

Not me....at least with cops you have "somewhat" of a chance

Are you crazy. Black cops patrolling black citizens would only lead to trouble. Have you ever seen training day? Denzel patrolling the hood is exactly how that would turn out. Or practically any city with a black mayor. Nothing but corruption.
So should black cops patrol white citizens?
You're speaking as if you think black people are inherently bad/corrupt.

It should be a mix like it is everywhere. To say no white cops should patrol a black neighborhood is absurd. The alliance of police should work in racial harmony.

Just watched that video of the officer making the traffic stop. Hard to miss the music playing inside the police car.
The song is “What It’s Like,” by Everlast:
We've all seen a man at the liquor store beggin' for your change
The hair on his face is dirty, dread-locked, and full of mange
He asks a man for what he could spare, with shame in his eyes
"Get a job, you f*** slob, " is all he replies
God forbid, you ever had to walk a mile in his shoes
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to sing the blues
An unusual soundtrack to the tragic event. The mind naturally tries to connect the audio to the video, like in a music video.

He will be in protective custody his entire time behind bars. He wouldn't last an hour without it.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the majority of cops there aren't black, like they should be. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
ETA: And I'm speaking in terms of patrol areas. It's common sense that those culturally compatible with the demographics should patrol those areas. There are predominantly black areas of N. Charleston and predominantly white areas. I might be in the wrong here, but I'm guessing this was a predominantly black area judging by the camera guy and the perp.

Link?
Also, is there a link up with audio from cop microphone or relay with dispatch during the altercation?

That song is incredibly odd.
