can we talk presidential race?

because I really want to vote republican but if they send another romney out there I'll be voting dem.

Republicans have had a terrible platform and the worst candidates I could think of the last 2 elections.

We're a long way out man. It's almost pointless to speculate at this point.

My fear is that the nominee will be Jeb Bush

I don't see anyway Rand Paul doesn't get the GOP nomination.

The GOP could do much worse.

Nothing is for sure with the Republicans. The nomination fight is going to be a cannibalistic disaster.

I was thinking Bush as well because
A: he can raise more money faster than anyone
B: His wife is latino I think and I think the GOP is going to have to start catering to them....

I still have serious doubts she gets the nomination. It just takes one challenger to get some momentum going and it's lights out. She's such a known quantity and lacks the charisma of Bill.

It truly is. The base going to crucify guys like Cruz, Paul, or Carson and send somebody like Christie or Bush III to November.

In hindsight I regret my vote for McCain immensely, not enough to have changed it, but wish I didn't have that vote on my conscience. Romney, I submit would have been a good leader. Not ideal, but he would have done well for the USA.

For me? Absolutely.

But let's face it. Unless somebody worth a shite comes up as an independent it's going to be a clusterfrick across the board.

this is why I maintain that we live in a oligarchy. The quality of candidates that we ACTUALLY get a chance to choose from is very low.

It's like we're given a choice between terrible candidate A or terrible candidate B instead of 20 candidates that all have a pretty equal chance of winning.

system is fricked. we aren't free.

Carson is a joke politically. He's good at selling the message to a hungry base and I don't doubt he's a very smart guy, but let's get real his career is selling books and being a Fox News talking head.

I'm not sold on Cruz's sincerity, but I have zero doubts in his brilliance. I've heard the guy talk, he's certainly one of the best and the brightest. I think it's all about the glory of Ted Cruz though. I could live with him in the White House, but he's still probably a little young next cycle.

Rand is certainly the most interesting option. Would be in a great position to attack a centrist Dem from both sides, but he'd also have to sell his libertarian bonafides down the river for the nomination. The Christian right and hawks still matter to getting that nomination. He also wouldn't motivate them well and they must go to the polls for a Pub to win a national, even though pandering to them hurts you nationally.

I'm certainly curious to watch this develope and get to know these guys better.

Belle, if you end up voting for Hillary, you will forever be relegated to catfan status, you don't want that.

He's basically Sleeping Tiger.

Specifically, he's a loon that would do more harm than Obama has ever thought of doing,

No he isn't, he is an isolationist tho. I would vote for Rand over Hillary in a fricking heartbeat.

HILLARY MUST NOT WIN, SHE IS THE DEVIL.
