I had to travel to Birmingham for work this morning, so it's a little warmer here than in Memphis. 19 versus 12 degrees. My poor husband has been at home trying to keep one of our hot water heaters (tankless)from busting. He tried to turn the hot water on, but nothing came out, and there is an icicle hanging from it.

The wind is absolutely whipping in Bham today. The cold is bad enough, but the wind just about knocked me over at lunch.

The wind chill is -25 right now. I went to get something out of my car and couldn't even pull the door open.

I am thankful the lady that had my office before me left a space heater behind. I've never turned it on until this morning, and it has been a life saver.

Seriously, you'll find that this weather tends to come In snaps and not last long.
I would far rather be cold than hot. You can always add layers, but there's only so much you can take off.

The HIGH is 25 here in Tuscaloosa. Feels like 14, it's gonna be 7 later and feel in the negatives. The temp never even breaking freezing all day, in Alabama, is something I'm not used to at all.

15 degrees with wind chill.
I went to the gym at lunch and grabbed my bag out of the trunk. apparently setting it out there last night was not the brightest ideas because my shorts, shirt and socks all felt like they had been left in a freezer over night.
Good way to get the heart going at the start of the workout.

Currently W. of Atlanta...21 degrees with 20mph winds... 5 degrees with wind chill factor. shite, calling for -15 with wind chill in the a.m.
