Good. When did war become so humanitarian - I'm sick of it

outside of sports updates its hard to take twitter seriously.

the working class contributing people still watch tv. The people that get outraged by reports coming from twitter don't matter much in the grand scheme of things. they are like the occupy people

im all for Israel stomping a mud hole in a few middle eastern countries. Them delivering an arse kicking stabilizes the region and there is something fun about watching a dog off the leash.

You vastly underestimate the reach of twitter and as an extention the internet media. What the average Joe in America thinks isn't what matters either. There's a whole wide world out there. It's very hard to sweep atrocities under the rug anymore.

Israel can't alienate the friends they do have given their geography.

I don't see it. I see the Israelis seriously kicking arse and taking names before international outrage kicks in and they, again, are pretty much forced to back off before doing irreparable damage. I'm all for irreparable damage, but I don't think that will happen.

And I don't really see an end to this, either. The only comparable situation was in Northern Ireland, and that worked out mostly because the N.I. guys were tired of dying. I don't think we're anywhere near Hamas being tired of dying.

It stabilizes nothing. It unleashes a fricking world war. Think the Muslims are going to be down with Israel wrecking shop? Russia for that matter. OPEC? Oil prices skyrocket. Nobody wants the consequences of that action.

Proceed.

Why did they move so fast during that particular war?

there is a wide world but only about 5 or 6 countries really matter in the grand scheme of things. The general public in each country has the attention span of a gold fish. They get outraged and then forget why they are outraged. It might stop them from going all out genocide but Israel is more willing to shoot first ask questions later than we are.

FWIW i like their style on that because imo better off being alive than dead because you waited to pull the trigger.

It will never be done in the middle east until everyone is dead or at least everyone on one side.

Or they could stop with the trade barriers and not giving them rights. Maybe some escape from their open air prison would help curtail the domestic terrorism.

The Palestines are far from blameless and have brought some of those Israeli actions on themselves, but Israel invites a lot of the terrorism with their treatment of Palestinians.

They all play their part.

The Israelis have the most powerful military in the middle east. By far!

Technological yes, most powerful? I don't think so. Saudi Arabia and Iran would probably wreck Israel. Israel has no capacity for a large ground invasion, this is really tiny and not that difficult since they've been starving the opposition.

Against Iran or SA? No way. Heck, the way Syria has handled its insurgency makes me think they could take Israel.

Israel looks so good because they're always defending and have a huge cashflow to pay for high tech gadgetry. Defense is a multiplier, if they had to capture objectives against a sizable force? I doubt they'd be effective.

nah, they have a good 5 to 10 % that probably would try to kill all the jews no matter how nicely the jews treat them.

EXACTLY

Nobody gives less of a frick than Israel. You think you don't give a frick? Israel don't give a frick. Nobody gives less of a frick than Israel.

If you was hangin' from a cliff, gettin' ready to fall to your death--that's right--and Israel was at the top of the cliff, and all you needed was a frick to save your life, and Israel had a pocket full of fricks...they wouldn't give you one. "Hey, Israel, I need a frick!"

Israel would be like "Ohh, you know I don't give a frick."

"Hey, Here's a frick....................psych!"
