LA doesn't count. It's the only huge city where you can actually own a car and drive it everywhere (well, at least more so than other cities)

My bad. Two words. I'm multitasking.

You are the first person in the history of the world to think NYC has really good public transportation.

DC has good public transit. SF has good public transit. Berlin and London have excellent public transit. NYC's is absolutely terrible. Seriously, it's probably the worst in the world for a major city.

frick no. Atlanta's is the worst in the world for a major city.

I do.

Not all people do.

bullshite. There are no grocery stores in NYC. There are cramped little bodegas.

Just from a simple Google search I see a Whole Foods in Tribeca, a Trader Joes and Fairway Market on the Upper West Side, a Whole Foods in Bowery, a Fairway Market on the Upper East Side, a Whole Foods in Chelsea, and a Whole Foods in Union Square. That took ten seconds.

So you found 5 grocery stores in a city of 10 million people?

There are two or three times as many here in Tuscaloosa (with a pop. less than 100,000)

We also have a shitty metro system and no subway because of earthquakes. We have a very vast area that has an underdeveloped public transportation system that causes everyone to drive everywhere

Those are all in Manhattan. I didn't look at the other boroughs. Manhattan only has about 1.5 million, and that isn't all of the grocery stores even in Manhattan.

And LA basically has no downtown. Seriously, the Staples Center and a couple of sushi joints? That's it?

We have a major downtown region. The tallest building west of the Mississippi is in our downtown

Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas you drive everywhere. If you consider the 4th, 7th, and 9th biggest cities in the country "huge" cities.

Never been to Atlanta. Plan on going in early December a three or four times over the next decade, though. I'll judge then.

Entering and leaving LA is hell. Once you get out of the city it isn't too bad, but inside the city itself is hell to get around

Our trains are fine if you're going anywhere within walking distance of them. They generally run on time and get you to most places that a lot of people would ever want to go. If not, you have to ride a bus... and the buses suck. The people that ride them are crazy. The drivers are crazy. Buses are just bad news.

Worst traffic that I've ever been in is on the D.C. Beltway during rush hour. Hell on Earth.

Atlanta traffic is gridlocked during rush hour too... and rush hour runs from 3:30 to 6:30.
