Can't take this serious but Tennessee all the way, tx bbq is like comparing a Ferrari to a volvo. Only time I'll go with TN though.

Pork shoulder, pork ribs & whole hog = Tenn.

Brisket and sausage = Tex

Burgoo = Ky

Crispito's and Potato wedges = Missouri

No. SJWs and poop swasticas are why people can't take us seriously. The KCBS is the largest BBQ society and the American Royal is the largest BBQ competition in the world. We know fricking BBQ.

I seriously have no idea what a Crispito is. You must have been to some part of Missouri with too much Arkansas influence.

Everyone knows Tenn only has Wing Stops. Texas by default.

Between the two it is Tennessee, not a huge fan of beef bbq.

Personally it is my Que, and if I go anywhere I want DreamLand Ribs.

I'm a brisket guy, so I like Texas, but I do love a good sweet & smokey rack of Memphis style ribs

Went to Martin's in Nashville last year on Vandy trip. Dry rub ribs were pretty damn good but they ran out by 7pm.

Which location?

I would recommend Arthur Bryants (Brooklyn Avenue location) or Q39 (or Joe's for burnt ends) over Gates, but Gates is really good depending on location.

Not to mention LC's, Jack Stack, BB's, Smokestack, etc etc.

Agree with this however I have been cooking some large beef ribs on my smoker this past summer. Takes about 7-8 hours but man they are tasty and super tender.

We do a lot of pork ribs...St Louis and Baby Back but a good beef rib done right is awesome.

I don't remember, it was a couple of years ago and I wasn't driving. I'm not at all saying it was bad, but it didn't wow me like I was hoping for.

I did buy a couple of bottles of their sauce and brought it home. It was pretty good.

Yeah that's fair. With either Arthur Bryants or Gates (two of the bigger names) you've got to go to the originals otherwise the product isn't as good. The suburb locations are pretty "meh" but the urban/original locations are why they're famous. As with anything, sometimes if you hype up expectations too high it's bound to fall short.
