Pretty much, but our military can murder innocent brown people and they're heroes.

You're someone who uses stereotypes and their own prejudices to support a derogatory view of a certain distinct population of people, and you will judge an individual on the bases of the prejudices.

That's what racism is. Or xenophobia. Or homophobia. Or sexism. Or classism. All kinds of prejudice against your fellow human are equally abhorrent. You don't have to call it racism, you can call it classism. Doesn't matter.

But in these circumstances is seems like the cops very well could have been wrong. They're both on leave while it's investigated, I think there is very good reason to think they screwed up.

I think you're a little too invested in this from a personal standpoint because you're in law enforcement.

Apparently. I'm 1/2 NA, 1/4 Scottish, and 1/4 Irish but I'm racist against trailer people.

Actually, frick white people. Those frickers murdered millions of NATIVE Americans.

That's standard protocol after any shooting though. Not indicative of any wrong doing.

Not in 99% of the populations book. Stories here get more intense coverage because they are in their backyard and the media knows how to stir up the rabble.

Mistakes happen in law enforcement and military action. Unless intent to harm or extreme negligence is the cause, then it is just a fact of life.

People die young, all the time. The media pushes the controversial stories so everyone gets all upset.

He is actually right. Your comments about the people who shop at walmart are very telling. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the nicest/kindest people around who shop at walmart. Even though they have little of their own they choose to help others. Walmart saves them money and you mock them for making their way through life in a manner that they enjoy.

I had a feeling that could be the case, was hesitant to use it as a point in my favor.

It's not the only reason I think we have reason to think the cops may be in error.

Hopefully we can find out the truth, was it a wii controller, was it white or black, was it held up like a gun, was it a gun. We can continue this in a more constructive way when we have those answers.

I just think it's disgusting the way you're writing off the kid because he lived in a trailer park and didn't come from a model family.

I get the impression that a lot of cops were high school bullies that got into law enforcement to continue their ways on into adulthood.

This is part of it... Another part is lots of cops are complete morons that can't handle the responsibility they are handed.

living in a trailer or shopping at walmart does not make you trash.

having no respect for your fellow man does make you trash.

If you just hate all cops and have a bias against them

or

If you hate all trailer-dwellers and have a bias against them

Your opinion in this thread is complete shite.

I'm looking at the totality of the circumstances. It just adds up for me.

I'm not smiling because someone is dead. I hate it came to that. With that said, most law enforcement officers have one goal in mind, get home safely.
