I contemplated getting mine for over a year before I finally did it. I went sober as a judge (I was 18/19 at the time so didn't really drink anyway) and made sure it was something I would not regret even at age 80. It's high enough up on my arm that it's only visible if I'm not wearing sleeves. I've never regretted it.

I spent a career in the Army and I have tattoos all over. Was alright in the military but now I regret them because it makes it difficult to find a decent job. I wish I would have not gotten any on my arms especially.

The only one of mine that was actually painful was parts of my back piece not the whole thing just two small areas
