I want to go buy some Tecate's after work...but the stupid lime price gouging is pissing me off. I'm not drinking that stuff without the lime.

We are good then.

Coors has a cookie dough after taste.

Coors is my least favorite of the big beers.

Sam Adams is the only mass-produced American beer worth a shite

IMO

Coors original isn't bad. I would honestly rather drink Natty than Coors light. It has zero taste.

Ya I am not a fan.

Funny story about dumb girls though. I was in line behind a couple of younger girls in college right after the MGD 64 came out and they were having a conversation about how they could drink more now etc. And then a few seconds later were talking about how they only bought MGD 64 now.

I felt like tapping them on the shoulder and cluing them in on the correlation between drinking that beer and suddenly being able to consume more. But they seemed so happy about their increased tolerance I didn't want to disillusion them.

If we're talking about stuff that you can find in pretty much every grocery store around here I prefer Abita Turbodog or Negra Modelo.

I do like some Sam Adams seasonal stuff though.

You can get Abita in any grocery store? And Negra Modelo is Mexican.

Now, I can find Denver Pale Ale and Sweetwater and Fat Tire (3 beers I really enjoy) in the Publix near me, but I don't consider them mass-produced. They're not that obscure either, but I'd put them on a separate tier than your Buds and Coors and so on.

Yeah. Around here anyway. Not sure where you live.

Sorry, I guess I scanned over the American part.

I haven't looked for it. My point was I don't consider Abita on the level of Bud, Sam Adams, etc. I'd equate it to Lonestar. Well known, but still mostly a regional thing, not really a national brand.

Yuengling used to be totally regional. It was very well known in East PA and south Jersey, and unheard of everywhere else. They just went national in the last ten years. It was cool to watch because I loved it before it was cool. :hipster:

Yeah. When I was in Philly in the early 2000s was when I first heard of it. You can literally go into any bar in Philly and just ask for "lager" and that's what they'll give you. It was more popular than Bud there tbh. Then I went back to the South and no one had ever heard of it. A few years later, it's in every liquor store down here.

When I went to Athens 2 years ago all the bars had them for $2 on Thursday night. It was awesome (sorry for the superfluous description).
