Denver definitely belongs in your top 5. That or Nashville would be 1 for me.

I haven't participated in this thread because it's not even open for debate.

Austin (many will rank Austin #1, but I just don't have an overwhelming love for it)

Austin suck huevos. I mean, I get why young people like it.

But it's the worst traffic in the state filled with people that fled Cali and the NE for taxes, then keep voting the same way and expecting different results. Bikers who don't give a crap about laws, pretentious twits, racist gentrification, hippies, and hipsters.

Has nothing to with the Longhorns either. It's a cool campus. Just super hate that town.

Austin is still the best to me. Might be overpopulated, but it's fun as hell and absolutely gorgeous.

Montgomery is a place where they need to practice dropping nukes.

Actually, Helena and Boise are both pretty nice. Outdoors, decent downtown, little crime. Boise's city center is getting a major facelift right now.

Best: Nashville

Worst: Jackson, although Atlanta is a close second

Montgomery at 5 is being generous

Agree. The schools are so bad that private schools are some of the biggest employers there (apart from the state). When parents send their kids to Auburn after graduation or elsewhere they are spending less money on school to the point where they feel like they got a huge raise.

Jackson and Montgomery are both worse than Baton Rouge.

Seems like your just a fan of large metropolitan areas. I hate all of your 5 best cities too much congestion for me

I don't think Harrisburg is absolutely terrible, but it's certainly not great. If I had to pick a state capital to live in, Harrisburg wouldn't make my bottom five

Meh

I just a capital by the quality of the strip clubs.

I judge Harrisburg lacking.

Maybe not nukes, but they could do all the conventional bombing they wanted. The small downtown area around the baseball stadium is ok, but other than that it's pretty terrible. The only way I would send my kids to public school there would be if they were in one of the magnet schools. Or, like a lot of people, I would commute to work in Montgomery from someplace like Auburn.

Baton Rouge traffic alone is enough to solidify it in the bottom 5

They recently changed the magnet program and went to some type of lottery system. I suspect it will soon end up like the rest of MPS.

The school system is the sole reason the city of Pike Road exists.

And the main reason that places like Millbrook have exploded.

Not saying I do either but in what world is Atlanta better than Austin?
