I played for 14 years and have only ever lived in GA. Thrashers helped that cause.

ETA: Dad grew up a huge Atlanta Flames fan and my grandpa had season tickets. Before the Thrashers came around, I was a big Flyers fan (when they had Leclair, Lindros, Recchi, Brindamour, etc) but my favorite player was Yzerman for the Red Wings. I usually played Center (I was a more intelligent player and a better passer than I ever was an enforcer or a flashy guy) and Yzerman was the premiere leader in my mind.

Played peewee-Midget in BR in the late 90s-early 2000s. Loved it and wish I had time to join a rec league. Used to go to some Houston Aeros games when they were still here and occasionally zip over to Dallas and catch a Stars game.

Got RAK'd free Coyotes seats 5 rows behind the goal when I was on business in Phoenix once. It was awesome.

Louisville had a couple lower-level pro teams

Lexington had AHL team (Thoroughblades) affiliated with Sharks and Rangers. Went over well so Ducks put an AHL team (Panthers) in Louisville (both back in mid 90's)

Lexington did a big price increase on the heels of a so - so season so they folded, Louisville followed shortly after. Lexington went with the Men O War and Louisville went with the River Frogs. Neither lasted long

University of Kentucky has a long standing club team that plays midnight games off campus and serves beer. Louisville has a team also, but not sure if it is still club or if they went NCAA. With the Cards moving to the ACC it would make sense with Notre Dame close by, and other hockey teams in the ACC.

UK club is know for the famous posters every year including this one.

Notre Dame plays in Hockey Easy, ACC schools don't have NCAA hockey.

Giroux is a beauty (if you were a hockey player you'd know the full meaning of this term).

Crosby is literally the opposite of Giroux.

Hardly anyone in hockey likes Crosby as a person.

Boston College and Notre Dame play there, both are now in the ACC

Syracuse has a club team
Louisville has a club team

Duke, UNC, NC State, and UVA all have club teams

After realignment the ACC has 8 teams and it only takes 4 for the ACC to make it a conference sponsored sport according to their bylaws. BC, ND, SU, and UL get you to that magic number 4. If Uconn does join the ACC to get them to 16 that would be another team with a hockey team.

That was a weird post.

The ACC will not ever have an NCAA hockey league.

And Boston College is to Hockey East as LSU or Bama is to the SEC, so no.

No. That'd be Hartnell or Cooter if we're talking Flyers.

Not to mention, even my Flyer friends have admitted that Sid has been tougher this season.

Yeah, you don't know what beauty means. Giroux is pretty close to the definition of it.

Guy is a natural born wheeler. Any broad, even with his tooth out and a chew in.

Guy plays pong with casts on both arms, finished the year with fractures.

Sid is just uncool and there's nothing he can do about it at this point. He's a bitch. His voice is naturally whiny. He never partied. There are reasons he's not liked by his peers.
