Fayetteville's is definitely good... but I don't even really go to the real "bar" scene anymore.

My main three bars are:

Maxine's
Kingfish
Theo's (for happy hour food and cocktails)

I'm at Maxine's way more than any of the others by a longshot, but that's because our business is on Block Street.

Lexington's is probably about middle of the pack. Not really anything to write home about but not the worst either. Lexington trip is more about the combo Basketball/Football experience with Keeneland though.

Lexington is OK, but nothing special, imo.

Athens is awesome.

Who the frick said Tuscaloosa?

Nashville is fun, but it's not a college town.

I love Knoxville, but only because I never have to pay for drinks.

A&M's may not be the best, but it's not even close to being the worst. Saying texas state's scene is better makes you lose all credibility IMO. I've brought quite a few PAC 10 Northern California big city liberals down to college station for a gameday weekend and they always have a great time.

Don't get me wrong. I've had some good nights at Northgate as a tshirt fan but I don't know a lot of non Ags that love it.

I know some LSU fans were loving it, because they were having sex in the alley behind Antonio's.

Yep.

Def not Auburn but at least we're not the worst.

What yall lack in number you make up for in quality. Granted I have been exclusively in Sky Bar and 17-16 (and another that I was too drunk to remember) and those are some of my favorite bars I've been to. Never had a bad time at Auburn when not considering the losses. Tuscaloosa is good too, IMO they're underrated. Nashville is obviously great. Oxford is a great town and the Grove was cool but the covers the weekend I went pissed me off and dropped them in the rankings for me. I actually think Knoxville was pretty fun too.

But yea, if Georgia does one thing right it's the bar scene. Something for everyone. I really want to go to CoMo, Fayetteville (yall are dicks for sticking Georgia in LR) and Baton Rouge.

Way I rank the ones I have seen:

Athens
Nashville
Tuscaloosa
Auburn
Knoxville
Oxford (Again, based off a poor experience. I need to give it another go-round)

Columbia, SC

Starkville is getting better. Dave's Dark Horse there is one of my favorite bars, and the food is really solid.

Oxford is my #1 but I've never been to Athens.

I will say that I had the best holloween weekend ever at the bars in Baton Rouge. I went on a random weekend when LSU was playing Tulane haha

Athens will make you recatagorize Oxford, not in the same league. It is far and away #1 as far as college scene bars.

Whoah. I didn't say TSU's was better. I just said he confused a lot of hot stupid bobcat sloots for a better bar scene. It's pretty terrible, they just have a lot of attractive rejects from A&M, Texas, and on occasion..... tech.

Here's the thing about State. The bars themselves aren't clubs like at Athens, BR, or Nashville. Yet, you are around people you actually want to be around, so it makes it actually bearable.

When was the last time you went to Athens?

I would disagree. Most of my Sooner and teasip friends loved it.
