In the 90s I spent a couple of months in Munich. I have no idea the brand. You would just go through the line at the biergardens and order a "weissebier". It ruined me on beer. Haven't been able to replicate the taste, flavor, texture anywhere. No craft beer can touch it.

German beer is different than what US microbrews are brewing. Not gonna see much of that style of beer here

Damn good beer. Their Single Wide IPA is also delish.

Can't go wrong with most things from Stone or Deshutes either

That's German for white beer. It's wheat beer. There are many available in the US, and you can probably find your particular brand if your local store caters to all lovers of beer, rather than those that only drink trendy ales.

What I've had lately.

This is very good.

One of my favorites.

Hefs aren't my favorite but this was tasty.

Not bad.

I've heard a lot of people rave about this but I just can't like it.

Very tasty.

This is my go-to. Session so it has fairly low abv.

This was ok.

Then you are slowly becoming insufferable to talk to.

Craft beer is great. The "aficionados" who won't shut the frick up about it are miserable.

Ballast Point Sculpin Pineapple, it is the shite as well.

Having that right now. I had a crap ton of change in a jar and i pulled out all the quarters which totaled to $15.50 took it up to the grocery and the beer was $16.27 with tax. So gave them a dollar. The kid wasnt thrilled when i showed him the quarters lol but it was easy to line them up quickly by 4s and count them so no real big deal.

Very tasty beer, smooth with no bitter aftertaste. Ive had the grapefruit before as well as Big eye. But im just never going to be a guy who spends 15+ on the regular when there are so many good 6 packs around the 8-10 range.

I mean they aren't terrible and Parish is awesome. Ghost in the Machine is one of the best beers I've ever had.

But NOLA, Abita and some of the other local ones don't really have much of anything I like. I mean Abita Amber is ok, but their IPA isn't for me at all.

I am not sure if Founders is Louisiana or not, but they have some good stuff too. The Harvest Ale is a good one.

I'm aware of the composition of the beer. Just not the the brand or brewery that it came from. But no matter what bieregarden you went to, it all tasted the same. Which is pretty much perfect.

I have tried every "weise beer" brewed here or imported from Germany that I could find. I have never been able to find one that is close to the Munich beer.

Agree, ballast point is a beer for a special occasion. I'm going to San Diego in july, staying 2 blocks from one of their tap rooms....I will get it on in there
