They just added on to their plant. They have some innovative processes they use, it's an interesting brewery.

There are so many that there really isn't much unique about them anymore.

Water-beer has it's place. I used to love a cold Coors light after mowing the yard when I lived down south. Or after a softball game. I like "craft beers" as well, but they've reached their peak and are being bought out by large corporations as well.

Why drink 8-10 bud lights with 3.5% AC, when you could drink 3-4 better tasting beers at 7 & and get a better buzz without pissing every 5 minutes ?

Having that right now. I had a crap ton of change in a jar and i pulled out all the quarters which totaled to $15.50 took it up to the grocery and the beer was $16.27 with tax. So gave them a dollar. The kid wasnt thrilled when i showed him the quarters lol but it was easy to line them up quickly by 4s and count them so no real big deal.

Very tasty beer, smooth with no bitter aftertaste. Ive had the grapefruit before as well as Big eye. But im just never going to be a guy who spends 15+ on the regular when there are so many good 6 packs around the 8-10 range.

They do make a good beer, but not a $15/6 pack good beer.

As for the comments on Sierra Nevada, they're one of the most consistent craft breweries, regardless of how big they are, and they put out a large amount of different beers every year. I thought their Tropical IPA they put out a few months ago was really good. Very similar to Creature Comforts Tropicalia, which is one of the best IPA's I've had in a while. And I could get a 12 pack of the Sierra Nevada for $11.99 at a Kroger near my house. That's a steal compared to other similar options.

I love me a craft beer, but I'm not going to be a beer snob by any means. I'll still drink a Coors/Miller too at home.

That said, when I travel, I do like to try beers from different spots. Had some damn good ones in Minneapolis when I was there a few months ago.

Tank 7 by Boulevard

I keep 16 gallons of this in my kegerator at all times, and then throw in some different bottles when I want a change up. 3 pints of Tank 7 will tilt your house.

I am not sure if Founders is Louisiana or not, but they have some good stuff too. The Harvest Ale is a good one.

Founders is in Michigan.

Alaskan has about 30 different types, including seasonal brews. They guy who owns Silver Gulch and I have a history, and I always refused to drink his swill.

I started out just drinking crafts if I were to drink beer, but that shite adds up eventually.

It's nice to kick back on, but I'll still order a pitcher if I'm out.

I have tried every "weise beer" brewed here or imported from Germany that I could find. I have never been able to find one that is close to the Munich beer.

When you get over to Texas try this brewery. They have the best "German" style beers, especially their Hefeweizen, in the U.S. They just started canning too.

Glad to see that others loved the Tropical IPA. The citrusy IPAs have slowly become my jam, though some brewers can really frick it up with the fruit adjuncts.

The best German weißbiers here are Weihenstephaner (vitus or hefe), Ayinger, and Franziskaner. Ayinger is really tough to find in MS, but I've found it a few times.

The reason they won't taste the same here is they're not coming right out of the tap. I studied in Germany for a while, so I know your pain. Can't wait to go back, although I prefer the north German style Pilsner.
