It seems like the ACC is dominated by just Florida State. Not only that, but the fact that Florida State's rival is in the SEC. Georgia Tech used to be in the SEC some time ago but left for some reason. It may sound weird but I just think these schools don't belong in the ACC. They should be in the SEC.

GT is one of the top reasearch universities in the world. They value that more in the ACC.

Georgia Tech had their chance. I'd welcome FSU

You've obviously never been to a game at Georgia Tech.

FSU had their chance as well... Back in 1990.

I mean they have ACC talent but I just don't believe they belong in the ACC. If Mizzou can come to the SEC then so can the Jackets (if offered).

Why not?

They value basketball over football.

A lot of their players are there because it's a great engineering school. The SEC schools aren't exactly pulling in talent based on academics.

Downtown Atlanta is kind of scary and has god-awful tailgating - not your smaller city, SEC vibe.

There's really nothing about that institution that fits in with the SEC at all. Plus, they would get absolutely murdered every single season.

Of course not but seeing as how FSU is to big a pussy to join the SEC and GT decided its money was better spent elsewhere (nothing wrong with that btw) they arent

Georgia Tech left the SEC to try and be "the Notre Dame of the South". When being an independent failed them they sought to return and got voted down. There was a lot of resentment toward Tech since they wouldn't travel to the Mississippi schools and in general were arrogant.

Long story short, they had their chance, blew it, and now suck arse as a result of it. The funny part is, the man that pulled them out of the SEC and essentially ruined their football program has the football stadium named after him.
