They were expecting target practice.

Oh no!

One cop shot but okay. Two suspects killed by the police security.
Never mind. That's a net gain.

That's the same pussy justification that the Comedy Central used to censor a cartoon that had Jesus watching child pornography and Buddha doing blow

Yep. What did they think was going to happen?

I'd expect something similar to happen if they held a "pin the nail on Jesus" contest.

That big red part in the middle (high risk) is where islam is predominant. The yellow parts (low) are where the Christians live.

Elton Simpson of Arizona was one of two men, both shot dead by police, who opened fire Sunday, police said. Simpson had been the subject of a terror investigation, an FBI official told ABC News

How is it that Dearborn, MI is not red?

Pretty fricking retarded, imo.

Exactly. These idiots knew the risks and still chose to exploit another religion. If you don't want to get shot by Muslims, don't have a Mohammed cartoon contest. Pretty simple.

Gotta be honest, you sound a hell of a lot like the crowd that said: "Don't resist arrest, and the cops won't choke you out" after the Eric Garner death.

Irony, thy name is Stonehog.

I don't think it's smart but I also don't think the world should be held hostage to a religion. I won't pretend to know how to fix Islam, but shutting up and letting them be is not the answer either, IMO.

Yeah, believe it or not, I'm always surprised when people react to stupid (yes, the contest was stupid, like a lot of anti-Christian stuff that goes on) stuff like this with violent, murderous intent. That's not normal, and if we assumed that it was, that would be bigoted in and of itself.

It's perfectly normal for Muslims if you've been paying attention at all.

But continue to live in your ideological fantasy land where actions don't have consequences.

I've got a better idea:

How's about, if you want to be known as a "religion of peace," don't make people expect violence when something as benign as doodles of a historical figure occurs.

Pretty simple.

It's not benign doodles to them. If you can't see the issue from both sides, then you really don't understand the issue that well.

Hello, root of problem.

The "consequence" of unsavory art should never be the expectation of murderous violence. That's not normal for decent people of any creed, and shame on you for attempting to rationalize such.

I don't even hate Muslims, nor do I condone desecration of ANY religion, but no Christian I know is going to go shoot up an art gallery for showing a cross in a vat of urine. Nothing along those lines excuses violence like this, and you know it.

Again, this is a problem that the radicals among them need to peacefully resolve.

I can see the issue from both sides. I do not accept their radicals' insistence upon killing anyone who portrays their religion in an unsavory light. Especially in America. That's not going to fly, and if they can't understand that, they don't deserve to live here. Period. Basic human decency never dictates that you kill others over unsavory depictions of a historical figure. I don't care if you're Muslim, Christian, atheist, Buddhist, or pray to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, that kind of lashing out is not acceptable.
