pretty much it. I have to admit i'm kinda hurt. We're, at least i thought we were pretty good friends. We talk everyday, I've done a lot of shite or her, I took a shitty site she had a few years ago and tore it down and rebuilt it and made it bad arse and now she's about to be able to quit her job and run her site full time becuase of me and i didn't charge her a dime for it. I just wanted to help her out and help her achieve her goals. Whenever some serious shite goes down i'm the person she calls. I thought were were fricking friends.

now that her wedding is close she tells me to basically not send in the invite she sent. I'd be the only black guy there and that would be "really uncomfortable" for her. It's her wedding, you only get married once so I'm not going to make a scene. If me being there would be uncomfortable i don't' want to make her wedding a political event, it's her day.

This is what really pisses me off. As a black guy who isn't a thug how can I make friends? I'm cool and shite to hang out with until you actually have to introduce me to your other friends, then despite how smart i am, depsite what i do i'm still "the black guy" and that sucks

Then black people don't want anything to do with me becuase "i'm a sellout"

I'm hurt

Was it her, or what she might have thought her new hubby would think about you?

Women are hard to read. In college women loved me at 3am but never wanted to associate with me in daylight. Being poor, you get the same results as you describe and it had nothing to do with me being black.

maybe she is covering for her fiancé? Maybe he thinks you two were hooking up or had something if she really does call you a lot and he doesn't want you there. Not sure the race card is a better angle than jealousy angle though.

I've always wanted to add a Miller Light commercial black friend to my group. You know, the well-dressed, well-spoken fun guy that everyone at the sports bar gravitates to. I'll be in touch.

If your "friend" is so shallow as to uninvite you for that then she wasn't much of a friend to begin with. That's not a racial issue, it's a pick better friends issue.

I would re-up every single time. This shite is thoroughly enjoyable.

I was literally the first person she told she got engaged. she asked my opinion on if she should get married or not and i said yeah he's a great guy

I'd rethink that "friendship". She sounds like an insecure or highly immature a-hole.

I live in central Mississippi. I am a middle class redneck. There are black and white people at every wedding, funeral and birthday party I go to.

I think you're full of shite or using your race as a scapegoat for other shortcomings.

If not the people getting married are awful and Arkanasas need to get their shite together.

They may not want anyone stealing the limelight once the reception music starts.

This makes no sense.

Did she not know you were black before the invite? Did she invite other black people who declined and then you would be the only black person?

This whole scenario reeks of bullshite. Either you or her are lying.
