I took some law enforcement classes in high school I learned that search warrants can take weeks to months in getting them you gotta have enough credible evidence

I had to look up the term "spirit cooking" and I'm still uninformed. Is it a meal, a religious ritual or a right-wing buzz word of uncertain meaning?

Not having a conscience is a mental illness doofus

It's Conduct Disorder until 18 then it gets switched to Anti Social Disorder

There is no such thing as psychopaths it has been written out of the DSM

It's been posited that many corporate CEOs are psychopaths; they get the control and power they desire and are rewarded for being ruthless

No, a mental illness can be treated. Not having a conscience is a birth defect, Sasquatch.

Conduct Disorder and Anti-social Disorder are catch-all terms. They are not diagnoses.

quote:

There is no such thing as psychopaths it has been written out of the DSM

quote:

The DSM and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) subsequently introduced the diagnoses of antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) and dissocial personality disorder respectively, stating that these diagnoses have been referred to (or include what is referred to) as psychopathy or sociopathy.

This was done to eliminate confusion associated with diagnosing psychopathy, sociopathy, narcissism, psychosis, neurosis, etc.

However, a rose by any other name...

Yes, those psychopaths, sociopaths and narcissists who aren't killers or other violent criminals frequently choose the business world to satisfy their unquenchable needs for control and stimulation. Having no conscience, they don't have the feelings we do that include love, joy and personal happiness. Of course, they also don't experience sadness, empathy, sympathy or any of the other emotions that make our lives so variable.

Their lives are cold and boring. The only stimulation they get comes from manipulating others. If that causes harm, they are uncaring. Any stimulation is better than no stimulation from their points of view.

I have had two close interactions with people who have strong anti-social disorders. One is a psychopath and one is a sociopath. I worked with the former and married the latter. I survived both by coming to understand their disorders and taking measures to insulate myself from their manipulations.

Of course, these disorders exist on a severity scale so many of us interact with people like this on a daily basis. They are, generally speaking, difficult to deal with because havoc is a necessary part of their lives. Imagine if we could determine at birth, or even in the womb, those people who are lacking the functions of the brain that account for the conscience. Perhaps a "cure" such as a gene therapy could be devised. What a wonderful it would be without these folks.
