This really surprises me, he seemed like a really happy guy... then again I just got that impression from all his characters is guess.

It really is sad
The fact that someone who was so adored and so successful at what they did…and can still be depressed to the point of suicide…gives me chills.

Jim Carey is another one that comes to mind that battles with severe depression fairly regularly. It's just hard to imagine guys like that, that can make so many people laugh the way they do, can be so sad themselves.
