Nashville is going to get buried. Seriously.

Looks like a 4-6 inch snowfall here in Lexington. Evening model runs seem to shift more moisture north, so we could get more.

Weather channel said 8-12" for Nashville this morning. The city will be completely boned if that is close to true.

Our schools have already closed and now it looks like we're not gonna get hit with anything

So in my bitching that we haven't gotten enough snow this season, it's shifted north and they're looking at 6-12 inches for here.

I ain't even mad as long as it just stays snow. I can handle that. Not that ice/freezing rain shite.

The models are all moving the low along much quicker than 24 hours ago. The surprise cloud cover today in NOLA suggests this is to be the case. Many areas expecting big snow are probably going to have a busted forecast.

The Atlantic Coast though is looking to have another Nor'Easter scenario.

They're moving the ice a little more north of here.. so mostly rain probably here.

There's cold air following the low, but the faster movement means the cold will lose the race for most here. Down here we went from a possible icing from BR to McComb north. Now, it's all rain and highs reaching to almost 50.

It worked out great for Mardi Gras though...

I'm pretty sick of mardi gras at this point.

I hope it misses us living out on 16 if we get ice or snow we will be in house arrest. They won't send any ice or snow removal to county and hilly roads.

You're doing it wrong.

Of course I get the pain in the arse of trying to accomplish anything in town this weekend.

Y'all might be close enough to the cold in Arky. It's that midsouth snow storm that it likely to bust out.

They are already prepping energy crews here, salt and sanding roads as well. Expecting a pretty bad icing in my area instead of snow.

Yeah, the cold not making it as far will frick y'all. Cold air is dense, so it tends to be at the ground first. If it could filter in deeper, it's just a snow problem. Now, you'll. Get surface freezing with 850mb Temps above. That's how ice storms happen.

NWS is doing their conference call now and will have final totals by 2:30. The models here just keep adding snow in our area. I think we're up to like an 8-10 inch minimum projection at this point.

Where are you guys getting most of this info from? The 3 main websites (weather.com, acuweather, underground) for my area all have vastly different projections. ranging from 4 inches of snow to absolutely nothing, not even rain.
