pulled pork as all true Southern bbq is.

You've said that twice now.
Repeat it all you want.
But just bc something is "southern" in your mind, doesn't make it the best tasting.

i'll agree that BUYING great BBQ is Louisiana is rare (I've never found it better than average) BUT I have been to some of the best BBQ's in my life in Louisiana at peoples homes. esp. chicken and sausage with all the fixin's (incl dirty rice).

the best BBQ I've ever bought has been from Georgia, Tennessee and Texas. that certainly doesn't guarantee that if you get it in those states its guaranteed to be good tho. just a note; the Oak Room in Atlanta (near the northern perimeter) has the best beef ribs I've ever had in my life. I never miss eating there when i'm in town.

Now do seafood.
1. Louisiana
2. Mississippi
3-11. Sucks.

I'll take lowcountry shrimp from SC and GA any day over those gulf trash shrimp. I'll take lowcountry oysters too over those oil filters in LA.

Additionally, FL blows LA, as well as every other SEC state out of the water in terms of seafood quality and availability.

How far is that from Charleston?

Rodney Scott just opened up a BBQ place in Charleston. Right got near Home Team BBQ and Lewis BBQ. Charleston is now one of the best places in the south for BBQ (couldn't be said 2-3 years ago).

The state of SC is one of, if not the, best place for bbq to begin with.

I like brisket...but if I go to a restaurant to eat that, I specifically order "brisket." However, when I go to eat bbq, I order bbq and what I get is pulled pork...not beef. I don't have to specify which it is I mean...it is automatically understood that bbq is pulled pork. That's what I don't think the ppl from Texas understand.

Just because you say it isn't BBQ doesn't mean that's true.

It's literally the definition of BBQ.

Well duh you are in South Carolina. Any decent BBQ master knows when you want BBQ you want brisket and a pulled pork sandwich for underdeveloped pallet kids

BBQ is not a meat. It is a cooking method.

Funny I can walk into a bbq joint in any Southeastern state and simply order "bbq" and they know exactly what it is that I want.
