(OK, I avoid WM like the plague - was only there to return a redbox as they have the closest one)

But to the guy who hit me up for money - your story of not taking the money to spend on alcohol is much more believable if you aren't holding a bottle of whiskey.

Just FYI.

So do you give money or not?

The ones that really piss me off are the ones that dress up like Santa Clause and ring that fricking bell around Christmas time.

I'd say his story was very believable. He already had the fun juice, he didn't need anymore. Story checks out.

I'd give the drunk money before I would give those begging travel ball fricks a dime.

You sound like a real douche.

1. You still watch DVDs.
2. You avoid Wal Mart, like that makes you special.
3. You can't spare a dollar for a poor person.

Please, continue to stay in your home watching rom-coms.

It's funny how you Arkansas white trash defend Walmart to the death.

Do not speak ill of the great leader, Sam Walton

Wal Mart doesn't need defending. Billions of people rely on it to survive.

Making fun of people with substance abuse problems is how I like to seem cool on the Internet too. Let's hang out.

In Houston I get asked for money generally 1-3 times a week. Before they even get their spiel out of their mouth i am answering "Sorry, i dont carry cash". At a gas station once as i was walking in i had this meth head looking girl say, oh well could you then get some while you are inside because i am really hungry. I thought that was ballsy but while inside getting a bunch of snacks for the road trip i forgot. When i came out i tried to avoid her but she walked back quickly and caught me on the way to my car. So i tried giving her one of my snacks. She said no thanks, and asked if i had a cigarette instead.

Not me. I have not shopped on Walmart in at least 15 years.

I shop local owned whenever I can. I do not eat in chain restaurants.

I like keeping my money in my local community, Hopefully the businesses that I shop\eat at will come buy something from me.

When you shop with big chain stores your money is GONE.

If the person is honest, ill probably toss a dollar at them. The traveling teams that beg for money get nothing at all.

Generally, no.

That being said, there was a time when I gave to an old, homeless man under an overpass when it was snowing. I passed him on the way to a gas station off I-55 when I was heading to Tunica for a bachelor party. When I left the gas station, I passed him again. I turned back around and gave him the smallest bill I had on me: $100.

I won big that weekend. Playing numbers on roulette-the worst odds in the entire casino. I've never won bigger, ever. I paid for the entire bachelor party with what I won in 3 hours at the roulette table, and had thousands to spare afterward. I went back down on Sunday morning, and won again-big.

It always comes back around.
