My guess would be that 90% of this board are Christian/ former Christians, although many would be reluctant to acknowledge it. I myself eschew formal religion but consider myself a Christian

. I believe Abe Lincoln made the following statement......
"That I am not a member of any Christian church is true; but I have never denied the truth of the Scriptures; and I have never spoken with intentional disrespect of religion in general, or of any denomination of Christians in particular.

I like being treated well by others, and thus I do my best to treat others well. Pretty much all of life's interpersonal answers can be derived from that.

I was raised Christian, although I guess I would now consider myself a Diest. I do attend church on a regular basis and I think Christianity gives us very good code to live by (What Jesus actually told us, not what some piece of shite in a pulpit preaching fire and brimstone), but I do not believe in the divinity of Jesus. So, I suppose Christianity influences how I live my life, though I'm not a Christian.

Not sure why you think this. I have seen many acknowledge both many of times on the boards. I myself am christian and have no problem in saying so.

Agreed, I'm not Christian and have no problem saying it... I try to live by some morals taught in the Bible though... but that doesn't make me Christian..

Live your life to be remembered. Once you're gone, you're gone.

At least I try to. All I do is work and sleep and frick. Sometimes I eat.

I've got mad respect for the gays, yo. Although I do get drunk and toss around the f-a-double g-o-t word that this website blocks on occasion. Nobody is perfect.

that's the great thing about internet forums... people can do it here and not worry about how they will be judged...

As with our recently anchored thread in which some posted about all the biologists judging other biologists and that's why they don't say what they really think about evolution... This happens ten fold in the world of Organized Christianity and Christians judging other Christians.

Maybe I just dont spend enough time on these boards.......in any event I was intending to refer to former, rather than current, although that was unclear in my post

I don't ever say the "f" word unless it's in Lewis C K's point of view.

Lewis C K's view off the "F" word

I have plenty of vices... amazingly women and gambling aren't any of them.
