The guy has over 350 AB over last 2 seasons and you see a trend plus he is 27 next month so it isn't like a young guy.

And both those seasons were cut short because he was trying to play through a chronic wrist injury, which he just had surgically repaired.

Allen Craig and Matt Carpenter didn't even play their first full MLB seasons until they were 27..

Dealing with a quad injury this spring.

Freese and Carpenter were blocked early in the minors or just had no position. Freese also got his first taste at 26 but was blocked by Glaus and Carpenter at 25 but he's had a guy named Freese, Pujols, and well 2B they had some favoritism to Skip/Punto among other scrubs at 2B.

Saw where the Cards resigned Carpenter in the Tulsa World. They are also were talking about the Rangers having trouble scoring possibly this year. I havent seen any Spring Training games yet. But doesn't Arizona and LA go to Australia this week?

Beachy Injured

Medlan and Beachy, two days in a row. Not enough broccoli being served in the braves clubhouse.

Medlan and Beachy,

It's hard to take someone seriously that can't even take the time to make sure that he's spelling the name of a starting pitcher right.

MEDLEN. KRIS MEDLEN.

Beachy seems fine. I don't think that there's any worry about him.

Nothing has come out about Medlen yet but I'm not optimistic. I think he's gonna have to have a second Tommy John. I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, Chris Medlan seems done.

Beachy's has missed games with elbow problems the last two years, I'd be worried about him coming out of a game with elbow pain.

Looks like Santana found a buyer.

I hope you're smart enough to wait till day 2 of the regular season to sign him to avoid the draft pick loss.

Wait... you speak English, right?

Beachy is fine. I'm not sure why you feel so threatened. Medlen may be fine. Just waiting for a definitive diagnosis.

Don't worry too much. We have the best bullpen in baseball and, depending on the diagnosis, one of the best starting rotations.

I'll make a sig bet that Rosenthal has better numbers than Kimbrel at the All Star break.

Both players have to stay off the dl or miss the same amount of time for the deal to be good.

I'm not dumb enough to make a bet on MLB pitching. I know how the MLB works. It's my second favorite sport.

Kimbrel>>>Rosenthal any day though. No sig bet, or otherwise, needed.

A sentence like this would cause confusion for anyone.

Not only does it not make any sense at all, what I think you're trying to say about Freese is inaccurate, he wasn't blocked, he had two ankle injuries and drinking problems. And this is in no way a rebuttal to my point. It doesn't matter if they were blocked, they didn't play their first full seasons until they were Bourjos's current age.

But he was blocked in part by Rolen and then Glaus, 2 veterans with larger contracts and players who were performing. Thus Freese had no where to play with Albert at first.

Bourjos didn't play because he doesn't bring much to the table outside of speed. He isn't a good hitter, he doesn't get on base, he isn't a great base stealer, and defensively he's above average but not great.

Great 4th outfielder type of player but league average, to below as a full time player

Please tell me you're trolling.

You're not this dumb, are you?

What do you not understand about Bourjos having a chronic wrist injury that limited his '12 and '13? Why is that impossible for you to absorb? That's why he didn't play, dumbass.

And you don't know anything about Freese. Freese kept screwing up with DWI's and getting in car crashes and needing ankle surgeries. He wasn't simply blocked.

Craig and Carpenter didn't play full seasons until Bourjos's current age. It doesn't matter if they may have been blocked. There are a lot of major leaguers who didn't break out until their age 27 season, or latter. Bourjos is an excellent candidate to break out when you consider the numbers he put up in his only full/healthy season. Plus he's in a great lineup were he's going to see a lot of pitches to hit.
