A puppet, same as they all are.

If you don't like the show, complain about the people creating the show.

Honest question - are you old enough to remember the Reagan presidency? If not, let me give you a little history lesson. During his entire presidency, Reagan never once enjoyed the luxury of having the Republican party control both the House and Senate. In fact, Republicans never got within 50 seats of controlling the House during his term. For most of it, the Democrats held an 80+ seat majority. So, not one single piece of legislation was passed without the support of Thomas P 'Tip' O'Neal (or Jim Wright for the last year). Tip O'Neal was about as far left as you could possibly imagine - the exact polar opposite of Reagan. Now, more to the point the Anti-Drug Abuse Act, which seems to be the point of your rant, passed in 1986. The makeup of the House at that time was 253(D) to 182(R). The Senate was 47(D) to 53(R). The bill was introduced by Jim Wright (DEMOCRAT), who was later elected speaker after Tip O'Neal retired. It passed the House 392-16 (96% in favor) and the Senate 97-2 (97% in favor). You can't get get that much bipartisan support for a resolution declaring the sky to be blue. But sure, go ahead and blame Reagan for a bill introduced by a Democrat and almost unanimously supported by every single congressional member of both parties. And while we're on it, the modern war on drugs was launched by one Lyndon B Johnson when he created the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs - which went on to become the modern DEA. Remind me again which party was Johnson's?

That was the longest "shut up catfan" I've ever read.

a pretty good president in a tough spot with the most polarized Congress in history who comprised too much early on mistakenly thinking it would do some good with the oposition party.

If you dislike President Obama you have to absolutely hate George Bush then....been cleaning up his crap since 2009. My folks raised me to never criticize a man doing something you yourself aren't capable of. I salute every President black white red or purple. "If you aren't part of the solution then you're part of the problem". I just wish the man could run for another term lol, you'll see when Romney comes in with his horses and bayonets
