Pucket's was kind of cool. You might smell like BQ when you leave though.

Peg Leg Porker has great BBQ

Gabbys and Burger Republic have my favorite burger

Sambucca has a great bar, awesome tapas, and great live music

The Southern has my favorite food of all and great oysters

Pinewood Social is a fun place but despite being there a few times I've never actually eaten there

Heard awesome things about Pucketts. Might try and head over there soon.

Jacks BBQ on broadway is pretty damn good but pretty pricy. ACME is good as well but it's just bar food so really you could get that anywhere. Hell of a bar though.

You know it's the off season when a restaurant thread doesn't get whacked

Here's to a thread that was informative and helpful

Thanks to all that contributed.

For a quick, good meal hit Satco. Fantastic tacos are hard to come by in Middle Tennessee.

Seriously? You need to spend some time in South Nashville. The best Mexican is at Fogota's at Nolensville Road & OHB, but there are great tacos to be had at both of the Tacqeria Express trucks (either the K&S Market or the Antioch Pike locations, get lengua and/or pastor and add the salsa verde) or at the Tacos San Luis walk up window at Harding Place & Linbar.

Idk, I really like SATCO

I went there for lunch liek 2 days ago. That said, Baja Burrito has some of the best fish tacos I have ever had

This is what's up. In fact, i recommend trying every eatery in the whole nolensville, Harding, OHB area with an ethnic name.

I've only been to the one in Franklin. Not too bad.

I've been to Nashville plenty but never have really tried any finer places to eat.

It says in the OP finer places to eat and nobody mentioned the upscale ones?

Capitol Grille
Flemming's
Eaten both places and both very good. Folks keep saying Husk but would put them a step below these two (Have not been to the new BBQ place that just opened next to Husk yet) I still love Thai Phooket and they have a 2nd location near the mall in Hendersonville north of Nashville.

Most really depends on what type of food your wife likes as it is her birthday Nashville has some real hole in the wall places but depends on what she likes and what her comfort zone is.

The place in the basement of the Hermitage Hotel is a chain? Did not know that.

The other place on the 2nd floor of the bookstore block I could see as a chain but had not see it in any other SEC cities.

Maybe not.

There is a chain by the name of Capital Grille.

Flemings is absolutely one.

Rippys has pretty good BBQ too

Pinewood social is fun as hell but be warned OP, it's pricey

Melrose on 8th does great drink specials on Thursdays and the talent in there is typical of Nashville

Dead serious about getting a spice burger at twin kegs. Bartender cooks everything an you'll see him patting out our burger in the back. Get the BBB style, it's gigantic and delicious

And don't go to opry mills unless you enjoy traffic

Opryland area in general seems like a big tourist trap. Been drug to several of the food joints in there by others and have yet to have a meal or decent dining experience. Probably a better experience when it was still downtown.

yup, that whole corridor from the village going out towards Franklin is always a parking lot. I haven't been out to GH in a while just for that reason.

My wife, being a basic blonde female, loves Chuy's. That's the only place I'll eat at Opry Mills.

Luckily there's one in West End too so it can be avoided.

They really need to start putting some more stuff in the Marathon building. I went to something there at Christmas and there were vendors everywhere, but it's normally dead.

There is, but the excellent restaurant in the Hermitage Hotel is not related to it and goes by the name Capitol Grille. Also, it is primarily a farm-to-table place rather than a steakhouse, though they do serve a good steak...
