Started this on the FB but thought y'all might have some insight as well...
Taking my wife up for a weekend here in a couple weeks for her 30th birthday with a group of 8 and looking for some guidance. I've been to Nashville plenty but never have really tried any finer places to eat.
Suggestions?
RA'd to move to OT

Won't be attending an athletic event of any sort. This will be a first for me in this town... I mean, city.

There is a year old thread on the food and drink board that nails Nashville eats. Search for it or just start a thread there and someone will link it.

Urban Grub over on 12th & South was incredible a few weeks ago when my wife and i went there for the first time. Fresh seafood flown in daily from the gulf but hard to imagine there is anything on the menu better than their pork.
Massive piece of meat (like 28-30oz) with smoked peaches on top. Great sides as well. Highly recommend.

Wrong board,Sparky.
They do have a bunch of Waffle Houses which should suit your budget. Get "Bert's Chili."

Thanks, sport. I realized that as soon as I posted it, but I appreciate your contribution.

Wrong board
It's gotten more responses here than the food board

I would recommend Prince's hot chicken for some authentic Nashville fiery diarrhea.

OMNI and Hilton are two very good hotels, located right off Broadway.
