I agree with this, but why isn't this idea extended to other groups? When a shitty legal gun owner does something wrong it's "just one whackjob, the rest of us aren't like that." However when one young black guy or brown immigrant does something, it has to turn into a referendum on the state of black youth or immigration.

People on here represent their political affiliation the same way they represent their teams on tRant. It's "defend my side at all costs, troll the other side" which is a sadly reductionist way to look at politics and government.

1. A 15 year old shot me in the leg with a bb gun on purpose and shot at my friend when I was 10. My mother called his mother and she said, "I knew he would do that. I told his father not to buy him a bb gun."

When I was about 4 years old a neighbor kid shot me in the neck with a BB gun. When my dad got home from work, he went over to the neighbors. asked to see the BB gun. The mom handed over the gun. Dad bent that fricker in half. Handed it back and went home. Never said a word and didnt hear a peep from the father of the kid who shot me. In fact, I am pretty sure the kid got his arse beat.

I just revisited the thread and saw that I got five downvotes on a story about helping a victim of domestic violence.

Like I said in the other thread, that's the main problem with political discourse today: by and large, it's treated like a sports rivalry. Just D's vs. R's instead of Michigan vs. ohio state.

Samson, drugs are illegal in this country. Why don't you look up and see how many people die every year due to drugs

While your at it look at how many people die every year due to drunk driving. That's illegal isn't it?

I would hope all anti gun citizens would post the fact that they live in a gun free house on their front and back doors.
That would make their homes much safer to live in.
