On foot trying to detain individual that looked to be setting one. Guy with detonator must have been watching he blew it when I was fairly close. Luckily it must have been planted deep most of it blew upwards

At age 30, I was racing up near Rockford Il. Hit a little triple that I had jumped 100 times over the past few days. Guy had crashed on the other side and I didn't see him.
Friend drove me to the ER with 4 of my ribs completely broken. One was snapped. Part of it was sticking in my lung and the other half was sticking about a inch through my skin.
Free air is not fun.
