Agree.

He is kinda out there, but he's like the BeeGees of the 80's and 90's. He cranked out some good tunes, and wrote a lot of hits for other artists. I don't think folks realize how many songs he wrote for others that topped the charts.

I remember how blown my mind was when I found out that the Bee Gees guy wrote the Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers hit Islands In the Stream.

If you can't decipher it, you won't agree with the explanation. FWIW I think Anastasio is way better than Garcia, although I put phish in the somewhat the same category, except they have better songs. Still most people are there for the costume party if you will, not for the actual movie

I didn't quite understand what the rocky horror picture show reference was trying to convey.

Bet a lot don't know Prince wrote Nothin Compares 2 You, sung by Sinead O'Connor either.

or Manic Monday, by the Bangles.

I hate Jam bands, but I love Phish, Widespread Panic and The Grateful Dead.

Fans of jam bands are pretty insufferable though.

I mean, I guess I see your point. Your answer should be The Grateful Dead, not Jerry. Jerry is one of the best musicians of the last 100 years. His work outside of the exceeds his work within it.

Ignore him. He is obsessed with me and thinks he is getting under my skin. He is so adorable.

I like jam bands and I get bored when I try to listen to a bunch of dead.

I do like JGB, dead I think is somewhat overrated but it is hard to say that when they had such a cultural revolution.

I've always thought jam bands suck. Always. You've just sort of confirmed it.

I am. I think obsessive music fans of any genre are insufferable though, and I admit my music snobbery can at times be insufferable. I try not to be douche, but sometimes it's hard when I hear people claiming Kings of Leon, or Avett Brothers, or Mumford & Sons is good music.
