You're lost. Slow down and read.

So you get information from friends back at school and alumni you know? Potentially saying you get one perspective of the argument as information. Lets be honest racism isn't reported on campus unless you are physically harmed or just shaken to that point. Happens everyday. I'm not trying to be a douche in anyway but I'm kinda playing Devils advocate here.
You're taking a point of view. And it's bulshit. Now that you're realizing its bullshite, you're pretending to just play Devil's advocate. No sale.
Getting information from faculty, current students and townies is worse than getting information from Twitter? Yeah. No.

But how do you expose when people don't surround themselves with anyway to learn? I feel like just sessions that count for grades and have speakers talk on this is a small way to plant a seed.
Be thankful UGA student body is currently putting together surveys to avoid this. Offering free tickets, food, and incentives. THAT is how you nip an issue in the bud before it starts.

Ok let me ask you this how many people you are getting this information from are POC that attend Mizzou? The people in question?
I don't think you gathered that I don't exactly agree with hunger-strike kid and the over the top protesting. I just watched a video in the Mizzou caf of the group in question making diners uncomfortable. I honestly don't agree with that method. I guess I am a tad biased also. Being an African-American at a University in the South it is a part of life that I had to learn. I hate saying it but people don't understand until they experience it.

Yes I can. Not everything bad that happens to a non white person is fricking racism, in fact the large majority of what happens to anybody regardless of their race is a consequence of some decision or action they made or took. It's just easier to get what you want by playing the race card.

Why do you want to segregate opinions?

Because they aren't talking about shooting white people. Because experiences between whites and blacks on campus can differ greatly? I'm saying that we BOTH need a wider base of opinions. You have one concentrated thought group you're pulling info from.

Free just brings participation.

Free brings those who want free stuff.

Yik Yak issue. Extreme example of course to start my argument. But what I am saying is that the experience of POC on campus LIKELY differs from those not. Can you agree with this?

Still is participation.

In a university setting, someone is going to be exposed to all sorts of different viewpoints by simply walking around, going to class, going to the library, dining hall, etc. If someone chooses to insulate themselves from that environment, (1) that's their loss and (2) they aren't likely to be convinced by anything forced.

Yes. They get their own student unions. Their own organizations. Their own scholarships because of their color.
They also are subjected to idiots who say idiotic things. Guess what. I'm subjected to that as well.

So, if I link an example of a black person threatening white people with violence at Mizzou on social media then you'll begin examining the struggles that whites at Mizzou face? Or you'll easily understand the difference between outlier and normative?

I can't disagree with you there. I suppose where I go it's just so uneasy at times they try to lessen the pressure. We just have Civil Rights people come in and talk for an hour every year or so. The freshman go for a grade.

Look at the hegemony. You can't compare the two. There is a dominant culture that is present on campus. Not saying that particular culture is racist but I am saying it's pre-dominantly white. Apples and Oranges.
