I'm not saying these 20 passengers have anything to do with the missing plane.

I just think it's somewhat interesting that there were 20 people on board a missing plane that work for a company that designs weapons to make planes disappear.

There's nothing not true about that.. I think it's at least worthy of being mentioned.

Do you find it odd that the Malaysian government photo shopped the two Iranian passenger's photos they released?

Yes, that is odd.

Simply passed along information. No theory was involved at all.

Weird..

The jury has been found to be in violation of the ruling guidelines.

The problem is no one is in charge right now because no one knows where the plane is. It's a bit of catch-22 but because the plane initially was not thought to have crashed in international waters that leaves whichever country it DID crash/disappear to in charge but without knowing where the damn thing is no one is charge - not Malaysia, not Vietnam, not China - no one. There's an international effort but no one can or has taken over the investigation. When this happened over international waters with Air France plane - France took charge. When it's closer in the home country takes charge unless a bigger nation France, US etc. has more capabilities and a link to the case.

In this case, even if the crash had happened in Malaysian territory, Malaysia isn't really capable of handling a crash/disappearance like this on the investigative end (that's why the NTSB and so many US investigative bodies are involved - if the plane is ever located since Boeing is the manufacturer and a US company and the US the resource capable country - we would take the lead on doing the analysis/accident reconstruction) but none of that can happen until the thing is found.

As for why the radar stuff came out so late... one expert said the problem is that the plane was traveling so high that with the transponder not working military and civilian radar isn't as reliable and takes much longer to read than it would if the plane were flying at a lower altitude and obviously if the transponder were still sending out signals.

This is all so bizarre. If it's in the South China Sea, one would think that it would have been found by now. The South China Sea is not a deep body of water.

Now this is getting weird. What the hell do they know?

quote:

U.S. investigators suspect that Malaysia Airlines 3786. Flight 370 stayed in the air for about four hours past the time it reached its last confirmed location, according to two people familiar with the details, raising the possibility that the plane could have flown on for hundreds of additional miles under conditions that remain murky. Aviation investigators and national security officials believe the plane flew for a total of five hours based on data automatically downloaded and sent to the ground from the Boeing Co. 777's engines as part of a routine maintenance and monitoring program.

U.S. counterterrorism officials are pursuing the possibility that a pilot or someone else on board the plane may have diverted it toward an undisclosed location after intentionally turning off the jetliner's transponders to avoid radar detection, according to one person tracking the probe.

The Tricky Science of Radar Tracking

The investigation remains fluid, and it isn't clear whether investigators have evidence indicating possible terrorism or espionage. So far, U.S. national security officials have said that nothing specifically points toward terrorism, though they haven't ruled it out.

Can anything good really go down when 239 are assumed dead?

^I was referring to the OT. Nice uncalled for snark tho.

At any rate... this is probably a big part of search/rescue problem: China's getting its inner Soviet on over the South China Sea. They already created an imaginary no-fly zone several months ago in an attempt to establish claim to some islands that we immediately flew through. And apparently they decided to block two ships from the Phillipines. Between China and Russia attempting establish their 'new' boundaries by annexing anything they please, I'd say the search is complicated to say the least.

I'd imagine the UK is is involved as well due to the Rolls Royce engines.

Plenty of cooks to get everything nice and messed up.
