If Jay-Z wishes to wear that, go for it. But the media and the mob should just put down the torches and the NBA should shut up. Double standard.

If a white man wore a Klan cross around his neck to such an event he would be torn to shreds. And the people that symbol represents being worn by Jay-Z are no better.

This might as well be the thread.

I was called a racist today for not buying a Nation of Islam newspaper from the dude peddling it on the street.

I asked where he was from, he said he was Nation of Islam (which I already knew.). I told him I'd take my white devil money and go do white devil shite with it.

He called me a racist.

It confirmed what I already knew, that word has absolutely no meaning today.

Nice story.

Neither here nor there when it comes to Sterling's comments, though.

Yeah. I just figured I'd interject. Didn't expect a response.

As far as Sterling goes, he doesn't matter. Dude employs black people, dude has black coaches, dude obviously give opportunity to black people and doesn't discriminate in employment or opportunity. I don't see the issue.

NBA can try to set a level above the law, but he's not fricking anyone out of money by being a racist.

Hell, dude doesn't even matter having his side piece banging black dudes. He just didn't want them coming to games. It doesn't seem like an issue to me.

None of which gives him the leeway to make the comments he did. That is the issue.

Read what you just wrote.

If you can't see the problem right there, then we really have nothing further to discuss. This is an impasse.

Then Jay -Z should be taken to task for publicly wearing a racist symbol. Can't have it both ways and the NBA might very well learn this when the lawyer army descends on them.

They are going to get hammered in court with this and other examples of the double standard and they won't have a defense. Racism is racism.

Haven't I already said I didn't agree with that?

And isn't Jay-Z no longer an owner?

Stop deflecting.

Or keep deflecting--it's what apologists like you do.

I'm sure if the black dude bought a ticket he wouldn't have an issue, he's not saying black people should show up at games. However, if he's a racist prick that's giving free tickets to his side piece and he doesn't want those tickets going to black dudes, he's fricked up, but I don't see the issue.

Will Smith is an owner. How about Spike Lee and interracial couples? Racism my friend is racism.

Who is the apologist?

What Sterling said was dead wrong. I do not agree with it one bit. But he is being held to a standard that others are not. That is dead wrong too.

Jay-Z is an agent. Should the NBA ban him from activities associated with the league? How about owner Will Smith and his Uncle Tom reference in a rap song? We don't need racists like Spike Lee,he hates interracial couples.

See how slippery the slope can get?
