When Sarge says "yes" (which he won't) than we will take the next step and talk about the consistency of God through his covenants. This is a one step at a time discussion.

I disagree. Tell me the chapter and verse in which Jesus proclaims himself to be God. This is also a simple question.

Well I've personally never heard of or seen a story in the news about a husband returning his new bride to her father claiming that he was not satisfied with his sexual experience and claiming she must not have been a virgin

That's because the bible isn't applicable to us. We're not people who tolerate this type of brutality to our young girls.

Interpret that however you would like.

ETA: My interpretation is that Jesus is saying that God and Jesus are the way to follow.

I keep answering your question over and over again

No one else on the OT fails to grasp my answers logic, only you

I know you're very angry and blame God for your life's misfortunes, but have you praised Hom for your blessings too?

Sarge try to answer yes or no this time, not sure you're picking up on what I'm asking and I'm worried you're going to stone a bunch of girls later.

Should we stone girls to death who have had premarital sex?

Yes or No?

Oh no. You are still giving atheists a bad name. You're either an atheist or parading around as one, thus still giving atheists a bad name.

You've said repeatedly that people assume you're an atheist. If you don't mind me asking, what are your beliefs?

Can I play?

I am guessing his response would be that yes, he believes that God gave that command to the Israelites and no, no one should stone anyone.

Except that neither of these are true and I correct people who errantly refer to me as an Athiest. But other than that, yeah I'm parading around as an Athiest.

That doesn't sound very consistent with the God of the New Testament. It's almost as if we're talking about two different gods.

IT'S ALMOST AS IF, we took another religion's God (Judeism) and holy book, and then developed our own God (Jesus) but the two acted nothing alike. That's where we spackle away the differences, or separate ourselves from the Old Testament, which I'm glad to see a few believers have already done in this thread.

I write it in almost every thread but unlike Sarge, who will lie to you about what he writes in other threads, I will tell you what I believe again.

I am convinced we are designed intelligently. As is the universe around us.

Good point. Essentially, the OT consists of God's chosen people routinely and repeatedly rejecting him. Despite this, God redeemed his people even though they did not deserve it.

Lie? I've even posted it in this thread. How many times do I have to repeat my answer to the same exact question?

Why don't you answer any of the questions I have asked or address why you are so angry at God?

Stacked isn't an atheist, he's probably just some variation of a deist or pantheist. He's just voicing his philosophic/theological objections on an internet sports forum(lol) in hopes that someone would be able give him some adequate answers.

Also, his ex-preacher ruined his marriage by toying with his ex-wife's unstable emotions so he seems a little vindictive for that.

Also, what garbage seminary institution gave you a degree in theology?

i dont have all the answers but you are only looking at half of the book. pretty sure somewhere in the new test. that the old test laws are essentially "moot" because of what he said/did/accomplished. i'm the furthest thing from a bible thumper but at least make sure you arent arguing, once again, a moot argument

ETA from a simple google search: Hebrews 8:6 and Hebrews 8:13 would be the applicable verse to this situation.

ETA again: Christians do not have to keep the law of Moses because those laws were a temporary package, designed to be in force only until the Messiah came. Now that he has come and given us a better covenant, the first is obsolete.

Well you'd have to guess cause he sure as shite isn't gonna answer yes or no.

But if Sarge were to respond with your response, I would ask Sarge if he believes Israelite girls should be stoned. If he says yes to that, he can have the argument.
