There is nothing to say but I've been in that situation too much. I know it is hard to wrap your head around.
I know exactly what you mean. You read about things like this happening to other people, but you never expect it to happen to someone you know. It just seems so surreal.
And it is almost exactly like they say it goes. It is always the ones that you least expect it from. He was always just a happy-go-lucky goofball.
It sucks because I hadn't kept in touch with him the past year or two...and now I'll never have that opportunity again.

The last team of old men about to bow out?
Such a shame.

The only thing that's "old" is saying that's what the Spurs are

You are right about that, the ones that put on a good face for the world sometimes have the most turmoil inside.
The guy I knew was just as you described, it was deemed a drug overdose but I know he knew what he was doing. He had been so much quieter and more serious than than he usually was in the time leading up to it. he was way too smart and too careful to have accidentally taken as much as he did.

shite, son. I'm a Celtics fan. You don't have to hide the fact your team is made up of a bunch of senior citizens from me. My team is oldest of them all.

Dang man so sorry I have had a crazy yr as well with the beginning starting off crazy (pastor of my parents church who had been there about 6 or 7 months after a long embattled fight to get the previous guy out, woke up one morning and shot and killed his wife, attempted to shoot and kill his 17 yr old daughter, she somehow wrestled the gun away and escaped, and then stabbed himself 20 or so times mostly in the chest and genitals with a kitchen knife). I knew the man and had met him multiple times and he apparently had schizophrenic tendencies and had an accident where he fell off his deck a month earlier and docs prescribed him some pain killer type drugs that pushed him off the deep end

All good.
I'm currently on the Grizz bandwagon, but I wouldn't be the least bit disappointed if the Spurs could come out of all of this with a Finals trophy.
Lot of good players going to be leaving the league in the next year or two. Time for some new stars to step in, but it is going to be sad watching the old guys leave.
Kobe, Pierce, KG, Ray Allen, Duncan, Parker, Ginobili.

I'll have to hit it up tomorrow. I've already shut it down for the night.

That blows. Dude was a stud. That 70 yard fake punt he ran in for a TD at SC was insane.

The Ender's Game series is incredibly good. Read book one, Ender's Game, before the movie comes out this Fall.
