do you really think this story will just go away as the season goes on? it will only get worse. this is just the beginning. this is cam newton level shite. maybe not on the rant, but definitely in terms from the national media

Eventually the media will realize the fatigue people have in the story and they'll move on. It goes in cycles. But as long as Manziel keeps giving them more stuff to talk about (behavior-wise) they'll keep talking about him. He's just asking for it with the way he acts

JFF doesn't touch the shite Cam went through.

Throw in the dirty shite Fairley was doing and the pile of shite dumped on to Auburn that season was so fricking huge. 3 years later and Auburn still has not gotten all of that stink off.

That's why he is garnering so much attention. He's a high profile athlete that's acting like an idiot/POS. And yes, it's because he won the Heisman that he's getting all of this attention. If the QB from Maryland was doing the same stuff JFF was doing, he wouldn't be getting any attention because nobody gives a damn about him.

I didn't think we looked that great. VT didn't execute, but there were gaping holes at times

Until you have a full fledged NCAA investigation (and not just a couple weeks and a half a game sit out stint) then I don't see it reaching Cam Newton levels. Especially on here.

It is the age of social media. We are now inundated with news, and we expect to have stories that are interesting to the public 247. Think about how much more outrage has been expressed on social media over Miley Cyrus, as opposed to the conflict in Syria. News, particularly on social media and sports sites, has become little more than published gossip.

It seems that the tabloid celebrity type has come to college football. Now people can follow student athletes as they do high profile celebrities. It's really an odd fascination, and I have no doubt that it could be a bama player next.

I disagree. Cam was constantly throughout the season facing ineligibility, media scrutiny when he had not put on near the shite show JFF has, and his father wasn't allowed to come see him during the Heisman ceremony.

God, Moss would have been raked over the coals.

His transgressions kept him from the Heisman and I guess NCAA figured being at Marshall was punishment enough

He was easily the greatest WR in the history of college football literally no one even today could cover him at Marshall and he had ridiculous receiving numbers his whole career then just wrecked shite in the offseason
