Yeah, we bought a foreclosed home out there 12 years ago with the intention of flipping it and buying something in Homewood. Then the housing market crashed and my wife took a pay cut at the bank she was working for. Then we had kids, blah, blah, blah. It sucks out in the suburbs, but we've learned to adjust.

I live out in Brook Highlands and I love it. but then i can get anywhere in Birmingham i want to go and never get on 280 at all.

280 traffic can be a bitch, but it is better now than it was a year ago.

I don't venture down 280 unless I have to, and if I do, it's early in the morning on a weekend.

I work down 280 and live in hoover ;/ there is no morning traffic for me though.
