Why do religious groups always go to Malawi? Is it that much poorer than everyone around them or does it have a combination of poverty and safety that make it an attractive destination for mission work.

Also, 70-80% of the country is Christian, so why them rather than countries with fewer Christians. These are serious questions.

Actually it's a cheap vacation because they get over there and the villagers wait on them hand and foot and they sucker some church into footing most of the bill my grandmother used to do the same thing and that's all she went for. Never once shared the word of God with anyone.

Actually it isn't for most. When I went to Zambia we did very little evangelizing. We went over there to build a bible college and did. The end goal is to be able to train 600 native African pastors a year to send out into their own communities.

Your grandmother just seems like an a-hole, but I'm betting you made that up to look cool and edgy.

I'm not religious by any means but have a great deal of respect for those who do what you are doing. Stay safe bud.

Maybe a better answer. This is why you go to Africa.

It's too bad you didn't go there to do something that would actually be helpful.

Auburn did not, in fact, win the 2013 BCS championship.

Well, they did win the first half. The rest was a conspiracy between The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, *and* Colonel Sanders clone to prevent the SEC from winning another MNC.

Have fun, do good, and avoid Flesh Eating Lions.

Are you involved with the well digging projects in any of the villages? Just wondered because my church sends teams twice a year to Uganda and we have some who are there full time. We have raised money to have wells installed for clean water in several villages. We have also raised money to purchase dirt bikes for the missionaries and indigenous pastors to get from one village to the next quicker. God bless you my brother.
