I don't vote.

Your vote affected the election about as much as slamming your dick into the fridge affected the election and freon prices.

There hasn't been a good presidential candidate in almost 20 years.

I'd be willing to bet a paycheck that you listen to GOP sourced radio all day long and read the best GOP websites all day long.

The last book you've read is by Ayn Rand because you heard it was really good stuff.

And, if anyone has a differing opinion for you, you:

A. Call them stupid.
B. Call them a socialist.
C. Walk away, and call into your favorite GOP talk show and tell them your side of the argument so someone will agree with you.

Whatever the answer, I'm confident you cannot engage in a logical conversation regarding any of the 'talking points' you've been brainwashed to discuss.

..................................................
Who the hell is Ayn Rand?, nah I listen to sports radio 90% of the time when I'm in my car, TV is History Channel, Discovery, and come football season that takes a lot of my TV time, seems like you make a lot of suppositions but you're probably a twenty something and still finding your way.

Blame all of what on Obama? I wanted to know how many people regret voting for Obama now that it appears he's either in over his head or completely incompetent for releasing 5 jihadists. You think those Gitmo jihadists are going to behave, if you do please tell me you don't vote, never heard of Usama Bin laden, and you thought Afghanistan is where we get Afghan blankets and dogs.

I'm just wondering how 'balanced' you are. How would you compare this to invading a sovereign nation , and kicking back billions to companies connected to your administration

Such a bad answer, and unlike you I'm a split ticket moderate (the ones that actually decide national elections).

He didn't order the genocide of thousands of Native Americans, so he can't be that bad.

If someone is so entrenched in Obama's corner after all he has already done, this issue isnt going to change anything for them.

The ones who are capable of changing their minds about him did so long ago.

Even EthanL has dissented from the dear leader, but Rex and

I can't think of a better way to register my 2000th post.

Tuba certainly is. From what I've heard from people who actually know "Rex", Gerald actually believes what he posts.

I thought Rex was a 5* troll too.

I voted for Obama in 2012 but not in 2008. Can't say I really regret my decision, but I also am not an Obama apologist. He hasn't been that good of a president, but I don't think he's nearly as bad as his critics accuse him of being.

My decision in 2012 was primarily because I felt the economy was SLOWLY recovering at the time, and a new regime would disrupt the little momentum the economy had at the time. I felt some continuity in that regard was important. I also didn't see much in Romney that gave me much confidence, and yes perhaps some bigotry came into play given his Mormon faith.

2008 we had just had kid #2, I was going through a job change, and some other family issues and I didn't follow either candidates closely enough to make an informed decision. I will say I was leaning Obama simply because of McCain's tapping Palin as his VP candidate.

The only 2 votes for President I really regret were Clinton in 96(I think Dole was one of the best Republican politicians over the last 20-30 years) and Bush in 2000. I didn't even give Gore much of a look in 2000, but wish I had in hindsight.

I don't regret it, only because the other two candidates were worse. 1. McCain? Ok, a lacky propped up because the GOP knew they had no chance. The only hope was that the economy would get so bad, BO would lose on that. That was a gimme for the democrats. 2. Romney, things look better economically, the mess that was created is cleared up, via smoke and mirrors mind you, but it's relatively obvious things are on the upswing. So, you prop him up, a guy who actually gave birth to The Affordable Care Act. Why in the hell would I vote for someone who has pulled the wool over the eyes of his own party? Look, Obama is no better than anyone in my lifetime, he's no worse either. You can shill for whomever you want to shill for, but the fact is, you and your party don't have any answers, if you did a Republican would be president.

This exactly.

The GOP thought they could run a monkey in a suit with no plan whatsoever and win just because he wasn't Obama. They were wrong.

The GOP has not had any sort of plan in years. Romney's economic plan was a joke. Major tax cuts, and a promise of "revenue neutrality" by closing "loopholes", but he couldn't name any loopholes or any specifics. The only way his numbers even came close to adding up were getting rid of the mortgage interest deduction and employer provided health care exemption. Yet, he wouldn't even say that or much of anything. Just all pie in the sky bullshite, huge tax cuts and no loss of revenues. Considering our current massive debt and deficit it was the worst economic plan I have ever heard of. Even worse than GWB considering how bad the current debt and deficit is.

Again, the GOP just thought they could run with no plan and win because Obama was on the other side. Pure stupidity and the GOP can only blame themselves for losing the election.

Romney wasn't a strong politician. Made it much tougher to win, especially when the strategy was to show off his conservative bona fides to energize the base. Made it easy for the Dems to paint him with the brush of the crazier elements of the right. GOPers bitch about unfair treatment in the media and then give the media all the fodder they'd ever need.

I think he actually would have done a good job, though I had my foreign policy reservations. He just wasn't a good candidate.
