For a smaller home guy I'd look into "bubble bags" Basically you're using ice and water to freeze and break off trichomes. Solventless solution with minimal requirements. Basically you need trim/popcorn, ice, water, 5 gallon bucket, bags, electric egg beater = profit.

I would recommend using dry ice instead of regular ice. Just throw the dry ice in the bubble bag with weed and then just shake it off. This method seems about the best there is out there for a solventless extract/hash. Just youtube it for the results.

Another cool variant I saw to this was using Everclear to extract the weed with the aid of dry ice to keep everything well below freezing which allows you to extract all the goodies with minimum contaminants like chlorophyll, waxes and such. Just add dry ice to a bowl, add your weed and pour cover in Everclear. It will take a while for the dry ice to evaporate off, so you can be sure that the alcohol gets most of the THC and other goodies out.

**Also note that if you use dry ice, NEVER touch it with bear skin. If you do, that means that there is a bear right next to you and that would lead to not having a good time.

I'm thinking about buying some domains and copy-writing some cool names for the herb I'm gonna grow here in SC when it becomes legal to do so.

Most people are unaware that the large tobacco giant corporations copyrighted names like Panama Red, Acapulco Gold, Acapulco Red, etc., decades ago knowing full well that one day it would all be legal.

I told my wife that once it becomes legal here in SC I'm gonna take a track or two of property that we own and start a pot farm. It'll be fun and great retirement income. But you gotta be ready to get in on the ground floor and do it right. You have got to get well ahead of the game ... it is coming. And if it is going to be legal everywhere, why not make money off of it?

There's a few stains out there that I'm shocked are not causing lawsuits. Especially the star wars stains, like Princess Leia, Death Star, and Skywalker OG. Especially since Disney owns it now.

This is definitely not a thread I expected to see Scrooster posting. I guess it's proof of how diverse the pro-reefer crowd is nowadays.

And ice I've heard about the hair straightener. But trying to extract from 1/2 to a pound of herb sounds tedious.

I tried a small dab of some rosin last night. It's was very tasty. And considering it's going for $40-50 a gram, it'll probably be worth it, unless I can find someone with a good vacuum oven, which is unlikely.

I fully intend on funding a grow operation or dispensary once it is legal in TN. I already have close friends with money who are in as well. Plus weed is tight, man.

It's a gold mine if you work it correctly. I got transferred to Colorado with my job but have recently starting trimming for a guy up here. $160 to trim plants for 8 hours every other Saturday plus free pot

On mobile usually so had to see where you lived. Chatt is cannabis growing heaven!

I may or may not already know where some may or may not be growing already. I may or may not have northern lights available in 3-4 months. Maybe. Maybe not.

If you have the cash to set up a proper operation, you'll easily become very rich off of it. Even in Colorado, where ounces are selling for $100, that's still $1600 a pound. Concentrates and edibles are another highly lucrative endeavour.

It's going to be very interesting to see how different states write their laws. Colorado has a good system, imo. The medical and recreation side of things are allowing wholesale growers, as well as the sale of seeds and clones. They vary the maximum purchases (medical 2 ozs in a day, rec Colorado resident 1 oz, out of state a 1/4 oz.

Ohio tried something very sneaky with (I think) medical marijuana. They basically would only allow 6-10 growers in the entire state. They were going to monopolize the entire state for predetermined companies/growers.

Anyone who thinks that in most states, the people that write the laws won't try to write them in their favor, you're kidding yourselves. I don't expect much benevolence from the lawmakers. But at this point, reefer smokers don't give a shite. We're just tired of being considered criminals, and will say yes to almost anything.

You would be surprised how few people actually care. I am generally a pretty staunch conservative and I could care less. You better believe I will be cashing in.

I used to thoroughly enjoy some good bud but after serving in the military, not smoking for the duration, and smoking when I got out, it does nothing but make me super anxious. I will definitely be investing in grow farms here in WNC for the rest of you to enjoy.

Glad this thread is taking off.

To answer the questions of concentrates, yes we do that as well. 3 vacuum ovens, and a shite ton of other pieces of equipment that costs around 30 grand. I just packaged $8,000 of shatter for the dispensary. That's daily too... I really wish you all could see this place.

I've come to know major players in this industry, so keep me in mind when TN finally gets off its arse and legalizes medical cannabis.

Edit: the lab is running clear nugs now. Live runs, also with everclear. Our chemist literally filtered/distilled everclear over and over and made it even stronger everclear.
