It's hard enough to get over a breakup as it is. "Catching up" after being broken up a month is like hitting the reset button.

It sounds like she has decided to move on. You need to say goodbye and mean it. That means no more catching up and no more holding without the sex. Only then will you start to heal.

It sucks but you don't seem to have any other options besides stroking her ego while she is planning out the next step in her life (which apparently doesn't include you). Good luck and I mean that.

Secretly follow her to Europe. She'll like that shite. Pop the question with a bull horn under the Eiffel Tower. Chicks dig that.

You have to just go out a live your life. When I did my first deployment my ex wife left me when I still had three months left in country. Plus she used my money to pay for her boyfriends car payment and his rent. You just have to suck it up and move on. Life is a bitch sometimes an you just have to adapt and overcome. You need to move on because she apparently has and the longer you sulk in it the worse it will be. Jody is a a-hole and he snatched your girl just like he did mine and many others.
Go buy some beer ,listen to some Hank Sr., cry and get it out of your system.

You and Ms. Garrison should get gay with each other. Then make a lovers pact to take poison and die in each others arms because you're both such sad saps.

Why did every single one of Sleeping Tiger's post in this thread feel like he was quoting depression memes or bad poetry?

It gets better... For some reason some relationships aren't meant to work out... I dated a girl for 5 years, we were inseparable, traveled the country together and had amazing times the whole 5 years... 6 months before we were going to marry we came to the the conclusion that we wanted different things in life... we loved each other very much and were best friends, but at the end of the day we wanted different outcomes in this life... Over the next several months we talked it out and understood it would be best to go our different ways.. It was extremely hard and I didn't think or feel like I would recover but over time the pain subsided and eventually I met my wife... Now I'm married with two kids with a woman that I know I'll love and spend the rest of my life with... I feel your pain and I know it sucks, but it will get better.

We want the same things.

She's more outgoing, and we balance each other.

But on vision for life we're the same.

If we were both brands we'd be the same.

I've lived in a bunch of places, been with a good amount of girls, this was my soul.

I ruined it.

Lots of ways.

Took her for granted.

Thought I could do better.

Let paranoia get the best of me, got caught looking through her phone a bunch.

She found tinder on my phone. I never met anyone. I did it for feedback. To see who I could get.

I don't know who I was before.

Today feels like the first day I've known myself.

All of the wheels of corruption in me feel like they've stopped.

I'm left to survey the damage with a new disgust for things I once enjoyed.

I can't stand the thought of night coming.

And then once it's in the middle of it, I can't stand the thought of the start to another day.

So this bitch came over to your house and let you "hold" her even though yall have been broken up a month and you're clearly miserable over it? That's about as coldhearted as it gets right there.

It's actually horrible. It's nothing like in the movies when a person wakes up and confusedly stumbles around for a bit. I learned taking my CNA classes several years ago that people waking up from having been in a coma for a very long time have completely forgotten how to walk, and the mere act of raising their heads causes them to pass out. They need to be slowly rehabbed by having the head of their bed cranked each day to a slightly higher altitude.

I don't know how long a person has to be in a coma to reach that level of exhaustion and muscle loss, but I know it's like a living hell once they do.

She knows I'm miserably in love with her.

She's acting whimsical.

Out of nowhere she texted to come over, watch late night movies and order our favorite pizza.

She also wanted me to proof read a cover letter for a job in Oregon. That was her main reason for coming over.

I was devastated that the job wasn't here.

And then was informed she's going to Germany and Amsterdam in October, with no return flight booked.

Said she'll come back if things materialize with a job in a place she wants to live.
