You know how "they" say there's no such thing as a dumb question? You just proved them wrong. Twice.

Correct IMO. There's nothing that makes an atheist "smarter" or more intelligent than a religious person, but the fundamental act of objectively making decisions strictly on tangible evidence is at odds sometimes. Big bang, evolution, stem cell research, hell even how the planets revolve all went against walls (sometimes at the risk of imprisonment from the church) that it never would have been there from a non religious group. Through the progression of time, its gone from 'no thats not how humans got here, evolution is a hoax', to 'come to think of it, that is how it happened, and only makes god more mysterious and amazing'.

So I can see the frustration from the non religious concerning scientific advances that HAD to go against the religious grain to succeed, only to be used as a new argument for gods power, but I reject the notion that any human is smarter than another based solely on spiritual beliefs.

First off this is abiogenesis not the big bang. I believe you're asking about abiogenesis but Im just trying to be sure.

If we evolved from apes or monkeys or whatever some claim, then how come monkeys and apes and gorillas are not still evolving? Why are they still a species? Huh?

And to those that believe we originated from a single cell or whatever(the Big Bang), have you ever seen a newborn? Please explain to me how a new born raised itself from a single cell to be a grown human.

I know some will claim to have answers, but to me, it's way crazier to believe in any of that crap, then believing in God.

Please tell me you aren't in the healthcare, engineering, or financial sphere when it comes to a job, because if so everyone affected by your profession is fricked.

Many who speak as though on the God "side" don't know what they are talking about. They have done no research or study of actual facts, and are only repeating what was told them by people they chose to listen to over the course of their lives. The same for many on the science "side."

No. The reason I'm on Gods side is because he has saved me numerous times in situations that I should have not survived.

God spoke to me and I listened and I'm hear because of it.

Anyone who asks why there are still apes and monkeys I can confidently say I'm smarter than. This meme proves how retarded you people are who can't comprehend it:

What are you talking about? It's the opposite. Science is for people who are curious about the cosmos and want to understand it. They know that we basically no nothing about the cosmos at large. Fundamentalism in religion are for morons who claim to know everything and have all the answers, and your answer to everything scientists question is the God of the Gaps argument and to shut up.

1) There is plenty of observable evidence that the earth and the universe is much older than the Genesis account, a seeming contradiction. But not so in my opinion. According to Biblical account, when God created Adam and Eve, he created them in an "adult state." It certainly would make sense he did the same for the whole universe. If scientists today could observe Adam immediately after his creation, he would appear to be 20ish or 30ish years old by any test they would run. But he would only be minutes old. I believe it is the same with everything out there. It all appears older than it really is.

So in your opinion, God is just being an a-hole trying to intentionally confuse humanity as a whole by laying out objective facts that don't really exist. In another words, this world is a mere forgery and a cruel joke to all of us.

quote:

2) Evolution, as a random natural event, isn't statistically viable. Even if the earth were changed into a giant test tube containing only the required elements to make DNA, and all conditions were optimal, the odds of a single DNA molecule occurring through random chance are astronomical. Even considering the billions of years available and the number of possible planets.

Yeah, but astronomical odds happen all the time. Like your very existence is like one in near infinite. Think of all the sperm and egg cells that have been wasted in order to create you and generations of your ancestors, and that a mere slight shift by simply a microsecond would create a totally different person. Someone merely bumping into your father wrong that day is all it would take for you not to exist.

Here's the answer to your astronomical problem: Murphy's Law.

quote:

But even if it were to happen, one DNA molecule isn't life. You need several DNA molecules, with equal numbers left-handed and right handed, and all DNA for the a (same) single cell photosynthetic organism (can't have a pine tree DNA and a giraffe DNA). DNA begins decomposition in about 6 minutes outside the confines of a living cell, even in optimal conditions. You need RNA (almost as complex as DNA), you need millions of other specific enzymes and other chemicals as well. All to occur in the same little spot within a 6 minute(ish) window. The odds for a full single cell photosynthetic organism coming together by random chance are honestly impossible.

And that happens hundreds of trillions of times over billions of years where it beats the odds eventually. As I said, Murphy's Law.

Why? Evolution is merely a biologicall process. It's not anti-God.

Sooo, aren't you a science believer since you're using a creation of science? Or do you think God created the computer you're using to post here?

Most anti-God people use evolution as a way to discredit Gods existence. Making it, pretty much,, 88% anti God.

What will humans evolve into next?!?!? I can't wait to find out. I'll be dead I'm sure, but one day, we will have 8 legs and 2 peckers.

I mean people have been digging for centuries, using the best technology science has to offer and they can't find any fossil evidence suggesting how we got from baby frog shite, to a human.

Seriously though, scientist have tried for sooooooo long to explain how we got here. And evolution is the best thing they can come up with? That should tell you all you need to know.

Oh, okay. That's fine if you see it that way but surely you can appreciate that others call it Nature.
