I have flown that or similar aircraft maybe. 500 times. Is someone shooting at you?

No ?

Then get on the thing and go.

It will be safer than your car and you drive your car all the time without whining or getting drunk.

And yes I have testicles, they just aren't fans of flying

Guy who owned a company I worked for used to fly us up through the Ozark Mountains on business trips in his Cessna-140. It was powered by a lawn mower engine. There were times when the wind was so strong, we were actually moving backwards.

Safe travels, you'll be fine.

That c208 is actually a great plane. I know it looks like a doctor killer but it's much bigger than a c206, c210, BE36, PA32, or SR22.
If I could afford one I'd buy a C208, turn it into a sea plane, and fly me and my buddies/family down to the Caribbean. It could probably fit five grown men plus golf clubs and suitcases. About a Mil brand new

I've flown similar planes to outposts in the Bakken shale. Sometimes they let you sit shotgun, now that's a trip

A Cessna 208 is powered by a turbine engine, a PT-6, you'll be fine.

I love flying in those puddle jumpers.

I always sit up front and enjoy the show.

Flying is the shite, especially in small aircraft.

Caravans aren't bad. They are pretty smooth for a single engine turbo prop.

Yeah, in the summer I fly at least twice a week. It's basically flightseeing.

That's a awesome plane fwiw, and you have a much better chance surviving a crash or emergency landing in a small plane than in a big jet.

Well the caravan is a wonderful aircraft and the pilots at southern airways express are all good dudes. I fly at a competitor airline of theirs in memphis and fly the caravan myself. Very stable aircraft, that can haul a lot and has one of the most proven engines in the industry. The airframe is also very stable. The pilots are all very well qualified and the flight isn't that big of a deal.

Btw it's an unpressurized aircraft so you will probably only go up to 8,000-9,000 ft range. Too hard to breathe for some above that.

I do the flight from Juneau to a few little towns around S.E. Ak, and it's awesome in good weather. The pilots get a little too close to the peaks sometimes. You fly over the Icefield and come out on the Katzehin River. It's an awesome (in the true sense of the word) flight LINK
